What is IIT JAM 2026?
The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is an all-India level online entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. IIT JAM is conducted to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other postgraduate courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions.

Below is eligibility criteria required by candidates for filling out IIT JAM 2026 Counselling application form:
• Candidates should have passed an undergraduate degree or should be currently studying in their final year of undergraduate programme.
• Candidates promoted without a marksheet should produce a certificate stating the subjects studied in that semester/year duly signed by the Head of the Institute.
• Foreign nationals with Indian degree are eligible to apply, subject to policy of the Admitting Institute
When a candidate chooses to accept and freeze or accept with an upgrade decision for the first time, the applicant will be directed to the portal of the booking fee of INR 15,000 - this is for the general/OBC-NCL/EWS category, and INR 7,500 for the SC/ST/PwD category.

IIT JAM 2026 Answer Key
Indian Institute of Technology Bombay released the provisional answer key for IIT JAM 2026 on the official website. The answer key comprises the correct answer for the questions asked in the exam. A separate answer key is available for each test paper. Students can download the IIT JAM answer key pdf and cross check their answers. They can challenge the answer key in case of an error in the keys with supporting documents. This is a chargeable process. After verification, a final answer key will be released.

The authority has released the IIT JAM response sheet along with the answer key. Students can download the response sheet through the JOAPS portal. What is IIT JAM 2026 Exam Pattern?
