IIT JAM is an entrance test for Science graduates to pursue Master's in Science at IITs, NITS, CFTIs, IISc Banglore and other result-sharing institutes. JAM 2026 was held on February 15, 2026. IIT Bombay has released the IIT JAM 2026 seat allotment for round 1 on May 25, 2026. Students can check the JAM 2026 admission offer through JOAPS portal. IIT JAM 2026 Counselling
The authority has released the IIT JAM seat allotment for round 1 online. Registered candidates can check the admission offer through the JOAPS Portal. They can check the admission offer to know which institute and course is offered to them. After receiving the offer, every student has to submit their response. They have to choose one of three options - Accept & Freeze, Accept & Upgrade, and Reject & Quit. Students who have accepted the offer have to submit the seat acceptance fee by May 30, 2026.

IIT JAM scores is used for admission to over 2000 seats for postgraduate programmes such as MSc and MA at IISc and various NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, DIAT through Centralized Counselling for MSc / MSc (Tech.) Admission (CCMN).

What is IIT JAM 2026?
The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is an all-India level online entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. IIT JAM is conducted to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other postgraduate courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions.

What is IIT JAM 2026 Exam Pattern?
