- MTech: IIT Madras offers a two-year full-time M.Tech programme across various specialisations. The institute inducts candidates for the M.Tech programmes based on valid GATE scores followed by the counselling process.

The majority of students (40%) placed during IIT Madras placements 2024 received job roles in the Core sector, followed by 20% offers in the Software sector. As per the media reports, IIT Madras has modified the BTech curriculum to accommodate internships for 6 months duration.
Earlier, the 2023 placement drive concluded with 1,612 offers from more than 480 companies. The highest package offered to BTech and MTech students during IIT Madras placements in 2023 stood at INR 1.31 crore per annum and INR 54.21 LPA, respectively. STEP 1: Application Process
