IIT Jammu Application Process 2026
Students seeking admission in IIT Jammu must submit the online application form for course-specific entrance exam or college depending on the course they wish to get into.
- For BTech course admission, aspirants need to complete the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 for male Gen/OBC candidates and INR 800 for female candidates for a single paper. SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates pay INR 500. Students must fill JEE Advanced application form, once JEE Main results are declared.
- MTech candidates are required to register for GATE through the official website of the GATE. Read more about GATE application process. The application fee for boys is INR 1000 for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates and INR 2000 for all other candidates per paper. During extended registration period, fees increase to INR 1500 and 2500 respectively.
- For MSc, candidates need to complete the IIT JAM Application Form.

Selection Process
Aspirants need to have JEE Advanced scores for BS/ BTech and GATE scores for MTech. Admission to MSc programme is based on IIT JAM scores of the candidates. IIT Jammu follows the standard category-wise seat reservation policy mandated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for all central educational institutions. The reservation percentages are given below:
