All about Jesus and Mary College.
Placements: A lot of students from last year were placed along with the big 4 placements. Placements happen in the 3rd year and many companies come. Some choose to only prioritize commerce students as per the requirement, others have different requirements.
Infrastructure: Really good infrastructure and facilities along with an amazing library and auditorium. There is Wi-Fi available throughout the colleges and it provides with all sports facilities like cricket ground, basketball, tennis etc. Canteen food is average but it is a great option.
Faculty: Faculty of commerce is amazing and really understanding. The curriculum is relevant to commerce and the semester exams are medium to hard in level. If studied enough passing is not at all tough though the internal assignments and attendance process is hard to maintain.
Other: I chose the course as it aligns with my future objective and I wish to pursue a career in the commerce field.

A really well organized college.
Placements: Students can apply to be a part of the placement cell at JMC. Many companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, and E&Y hire from the placement cell. 85–90 percent of students are found eligible for placements. The packages offered range from approximately 7–23 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college is super clean and well maintained at all times. The campus has a lush green environment, filled with trees and plants. The library is accessible and has air conditioning. Sports and extracurricular activities are given due importance. Even locker and gym facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified. They have different methods of explaining. All the departments are well organized. Semester exams can be moderate depending upon the course chosen. Courses are relevant according to the DU syllabus and help in choosing suitable careers.
Other: Our college has a strong academic focus, and extracurricular activities and sports are really important here. The crowd is friendly, and students are cheerful.

JMC: Inspiring faculty, vibrant campus, and great placements.
Placements: Around 55-60 percent of students from JMC got placed. The highest package is about 8 LPA-9 LPA, the lowest around 2.5 LPA with an average of 4 LPA-5 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC, and Accenture. Many students secure internships in consulting, HR, and finance roles.
Infrastructure: JMC has well-maintained classrooms, good Wi-Fi connectivity, updated labs, and a resourceful library. Hostel facilities are clean and safe. Mess and canteen food is decent medical help is available and sports facilities encourage development.
Faculty: The faculty at JMC is experienced, supportive and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good with a focus on conceptual clarity. The curriculum is relevant but needs self-effort for industry readiness. Semester exams are moderate and the pass percentage is high.
Other: I chose JMC for its excellent media education and holistic development. The best things are inspiring faculty, practical projects, and a strong alumni network. I wish for more modern equipment in media labs and additional industry workshops. JMC has vibrant fests like Malhar, active clubs, good connectivity, scholarships, and a supportive environment.

Review of the expected side of a government college.
Placements: Top roles offered in my course for placements are HR managers, auditors, chartered accountants, analysts, etc. Some of the top recruiting companies are Deloitte, KPMG, etc. Around 40-60 percent of students secure placements. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, and the average package offered ranges from 5-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Various facilities like Wi-Fi, library, etc., are available. Wi-Fi access is only for important society work and for faculty members. The library is accessible to all students. It is very well-maintained and fully air-conditioned. Classrooms are spacious. Medical rooms are available on campus. Grounds are very big. The canteen is decent, nothing fancy, but the food is acceptable. There is no hostel facility.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and also well-qualified in teaching. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. However, the curriculum is pretty old-fashioned and does not directly contribute to making students industry-ready. College societies do help in the same way. The difficulty level of the semester exams varies from low to average.

JMC is one of the best places to be.
Placements: The college provides great exposure for placements. I'm still in the first year, and I have heard about placements from seniors. The placement cell is very active and provides genuine recommendations. The internship fair also takes place here.
Infrastructure: The college does not have a hostel, but the infrastructure of JMC is the best out of all the colleges of Delhi University, almost like that of a private college. Wi-Fi is in the library, classrooms, and the library is very clean and organised. I love the campus.
Faculty: The course curriculum is the same as that of other DU colleges. Exams are easy in my course, but it is not monotonous, which makes it a good choice to learn and grow. I like the course very much. The course curriculum is not very unique, but it is not redundant and can be used in the future.

It is all going to be worth it.
Placements: 70% of the people in B.Com courses get placed. The average package is 6 LPA, and I guess the highest was near 8-10 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte. Top roles offered are accountants, analysts, investment bankers, etc. Companies like KPMG also show up to college from time to time.
Infrastructure: The campus of JMC is talked about everywhere. The infrastructure might be a little old, but it is good and clean. The classrooms are extremely spacious and not congested. The library is fully air-conditioned and quite modernized. There is no hostel facility available in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are really nice and helpful. The teaching quality is amazing. Only course study and syllabus cannot make anyone industry-ready. The students must actively work in societies alongside their regular curriculum. Semester exams are pretty easy as they are made keeping in mind the entire Delhi University.
Other: I chose this course because I am from a commerce background, and accounts and stuff always excited me. The best thing about my course is how I am pursuing the subjects I love. College life is never dull at JMC. Events happen EVERY SINGLE day, and the connectivity to other DU colleges is also quite good.

JMC is the most underrated girls college.
Placements: B. Com (Hons) has one of the highest batch sizes at JMC, and placements are ongoing for my batch as I will be graduating in 2026. Many renowned names like EY, Deloitte, S&P Capital, and some others have come so far for recruitment. Around 60 percent of students in my batch already have placements, and by the time it ends, it will probably be around 80 percent or so.
Infrastructure: Our college isn’t as small as many others in Delhi. We have separate blocks for the auditorium, library, Arts, Commerce, and even B .Ed has its own block. There’s an Event Hall which includes the auditorium and green room of our college. The canteen is one and is always overcrowded, as we have a lot of outsiders in our college who depend on their meals at the canteen.
Faculty: Our college lays a lot of emphasis on academics, and that is why all our faculty members who have been hired to teach us are Ph.D. holders. Besides their degrees, they also have mammoth teaching experience, as one of our faculty members has been teaching at JMC for ages.
Other: B. Com (Hons) or Economics (Hons) are the two most sought-after courses in DU, and I always wanted to pursue one of those.

Best campus in the whole DU.
Placements: The top recruiting companies for my course are Deloitte, KPMG, and Brain & Co. In my course, i.e., B.Com (prog. ), around 5-7 students got selected out of 45 students, and they got placed in companies that I listed before. But in B.Com (Hons. ), the placement rate is quite high.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really very nice, red colored brick will attract you the most. Wi-fi range is decent, and in the library, the books are also up-to-date. In the canteen, the food is okay, if you are hungry, then you can go for it. We have no hostel facilities on our campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are great in our college. All are highly qualified, and most of them have done their PhD. The course curriculum is quite relevant as teachers made that topic easy for us by giving real-world examples. They give general presentations as our IA so that we can gain confidence and we can improve our communication skills.
