MIT Chennai BE/BTech is a four-year undergraduate degree course divided into eight semesters. MIT Chennai is affiliated with Anna University. MIT BE/BTech courses are offered in nine specialisations, which are taught through eight departments, and available in both full-time and part-time modes. The name of some specialisations are Computer Science Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, BE in Mechanical (part-time), etc. Madras Institute of Technology BE/BTech admission is based on the performance of candidates in the previous qualifying exam. The selection criteria for BTech/BE courses at MIT Chennai require eligible candidates who have selected MIT Chennai, Anna University, in their choice to fill out the TNEA counselling process. Therefore, firstly, candidates must complete the basic eligibility criteria, which is that applicants must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream with an aggregate of 45%. Candidates must note that this is the basic eligibility criteria; candidates with good scores in their higher senior secondary have a better chance of getting selected through TNEA counselling.

Admission : Admission is through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) and counseling based on the marks obtained in Class 12.
