Supportive faculty members, vibrant campus, and enriching english curriculum.
Placements: I pursued B.A. (Hons) English at Maitreyi College. Around 20-30% of students from my batch were placed, as many opted for higher studies or competitive exams. The highest package was around 6 LPA, while the average was about 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Wipro, and a few publishing houses. Nearly 40% of students got internships in content writing, editing, NGOs, and startups like Internshala, The Sprint, and Outlook. Roles like content creator, copywriter, and editorial assistant were common. College placement cell was active and helpful, especially for students who actively participated in workshops and skill-building activities.
Infrastructure: Maitreyi College offered a peaceful academic environment with well-lit classrooms, a great library with rich literary resources, and good Wi-Fi access. While specific labs were not needed for English. The seminar hall and digital classrooms support presentations and events well. The library was spacious and perfect for study hours. Although the college did not provide an in-house hostel, students find nearby PGs with decent facilities. Canteen served hygienic and budget-friendly food. Medical facilities were basic but the response was there in emergencies. Sports facilities were available for games like basketball, cricket, and yoga. Students were encouraged to participate in college sports events.
Faculty: Faculty members in the English department at Maitreyi College were highly qualified, supportive, and passionate about literature. Most teachers bring deep academic insight and encourage open discussions, making classes interactive. The curriculum was updated, covering both classical and modern texts, literary theory, and writing skills, which helped in building critical thinking, though not strictly. It was industry-ready. Exams were moderately difficult, students who attend lectures and stay consistent generally perform well. The pass percentage was high, and internal assessment also contributed to the final grade, reducing pressure during final exams. Overall, the academic atmosphere was motivating and student-friendly.
Other: I chose B.A. (Hons) English at Maitreyi College because of my interest in literature and the college's good reputation under Delhi University. The course encouraged creativity, analysis, and communication. Fests like Rhapsody were lively, and the campus crowd was diverse and welcoming. The college was well-connected via metro and bus routes. The surroundings were safe and peaceful. Extracurricular activities were active, with various societies to join. However, more industry exposure or career guidance could improve the course. Overall, the experience was academically enriching and personally fulfilling.

Maitreyi College has great infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: There are 69 students in total in my course. Several opportunities are offered related to placements and recruitments in our college. They also teach students new skills and offer stipends up to Rs. 5,000 which also opens the gate for employment in the future for the students.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in this course were so good. Wi-Fi was available. Classrooms as well as the library, everything was present. The food quality in college was so good. Medical facilities were available. Sports and games were also available.Facilities provided by our college for our course are good. Classrooms are large and seats are comfortable. Projectors for smart classes are provided in each classroom and air conditioners are also there. Library contains books from each subject or department. MacBooks are available in the library. Canteen serves healthy and hygienic food at an affordable price. Different varieties of food are available, from South Indian to North Indian, and street food is also available. Sports society is there in the college for those who like to participate in sports.
Faculty: Professors are very friendly and engaging with the students. Their teaching method is very understandable. In Maitreyi, teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They provide us with information not only related to our syllabus but also out of syllabus, which helps us a lot. Semester exams are moderate and professors also provide students with notes and previous year questions so that students can prepare themselves for the upcoming examinations.

Really Good Infrastructure and Facilities.
Placements: According to the last few years' data, most of the students were placed in various multinational companies such as Air India, Zomato, and Horizons. The placement cell of Maitreyi College provides great internship opportunities for students, and most of the students get paid internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is one of the best compared to other colleges, well-furnished along with various smart classrooms. The quality of food available in the college canteen is the best, and most of the books, whether old or the latest, are available in our college library.
Faculty: The teachers of our department are very helpful and are always there to help the students. They provide us with the best material to study and make the class more interactive so that the students can learn confidence building. The teachers conduct regular assessments for students.

Maitreyi College is really nice.
Placements: 70% students were placed. The average CTC offered at the placement fair was 4.5 LPA with the highest package 5.6 LPA by Bajaj Capital. Companies like Deloitte and Lenskart also recruit students from our college. We get offered 100+ internships, and in every year for every course, they are both paid and unpaid.
Infrastructure: The library is very well furnished and provides so many books. We have an e-library too with more than 30 laptops for students with internet facilities for accessibility for everyone. There are both worn-out and new kinds of classrooms, so that depends on which course the student is in. The old canteen was very good, but the new one is not so, depending on the tenure.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, also they are very much approachable in terms of curriculum-based doubts and if we want to talk about anything else. The course curriculum is average and not very practical, and not boring too. You must have interest in the subject. The semester exams are easy if you study properly.
Other: The events and fests conducted by the college are very good, also the campus and the garden are really beautiful.

Review of Maitreyi College, University of Delhi.
Placements: There are no placements for students. Students can find many internships in creative or content writing, in NGOs. There are summer internship projects as well that are carried out under the mentorship of the faculty members.
Infrastructure: Our college is known for its gardens, and it is the most beautiful thing here. The infrastructure of the new science block is good, but the arts block needs improvement. Washrooms in arts block are not good, and the classrooms are small. The canteen is also not good. The menu usually contains 6-7 items only. It also provides a good library.
Faculty: Faculty members are average in this college. Few teachers are helpful in this college. They counsel students about future job prospects in this field. The teaching quality is satisfactory. Semester exams are not tough but you won't score as high in comparison with other subjects.
Other: If you want to explore then this course is good. You get to analyse text from every period i.e., British, Indian, American, Greek, or Russian. Maitreyi organises various talk sessions with well-recognised writers and journalists in the field. Societies are very active here and you can easily find a group with the same interests here. Maitreyi College comes under South Campus and the nearest college is JMC, and other colleges like SVC and ARSD are also around 1.5-2 km away. Our college is in the embassy area, and it provides a safe environment. The nearest metro station is Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus.
