Absolutely satisfied because of the good faculty and environment.
Placements: Maitreyi College offers a solid academic base for B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics with dedicated faculty and a structured syllabus. However, the placement opportunities for physics students are quite limited. Most roles offered through campus drives are not subject-specific and don't cater to core science fields. Students need to be proactive and explore higher studies like M.Sc., JAM, or CSIR NET to progress academically and professionally. Internships and external research opportunities are also crucial for building a strong profile. Overall, while the academics are good, the college lacks in providing career support for physics graduates, making further studies a necessary step.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Maitreyi College was not very good, but it was nice. We had Wi-Fi facilities on the campus, AC in labs, and AC in the library. I didn't stay in the hostel, but the hostel infrastructure was way too good. The canteen food was also very tasty. We had a Mother Dairy facility on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. They provided us with notes and took extra classes if needed. The pass percentage for students was 40%, but the exams were not that difficult. Teachers were very supportive and qualified with great degrees from excellent colleges like IIT, etc.
Other: Maitreyi College has a great campus life. There were a lot of functions conducted every month with DJ, food, and snacks etc. Like Dandiya night, Diwali Mela, and our cultural fest. The fest was one of my best memories from college.

Maitreyian Experience of a Physicist.
Placements: 50-60% of students get placement from my course. And mostly, students go for UPSC so they fail to apply for it. The minimum requirement for placement is a 7 CGPA and other skills. A couple of companies that I can say would be TATA and Amazon. The pay scale may range from 15,000-40,000 something.
Infrastructure: I love it. Being honest. It's fabulous. Being a science student, most of my time would be in labs, so I have a clear review about that. Labs in our college have every facility. And also, the teachers and lab staff are really supportive. We have college Wi-Fi with complete range, a very good library which is open till 8 at night, and all the classrooms look like new ones. We have various societies and clubs here in college. I’m part of the Indian Dance Society and can say that the facilities are fabulous. We have sports clubs, an environmental club, and also a new mental health club.
Faculty: The teachers are really supportive, helpful, and considerate. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are really not difficult. A student who is regular in labs can clear the practical exam and just needs a preparation of 2-3 weeks for theory exams.
Other: Basically, I chose this course because I loved Physics in 12th grade. At first, it felt like I chose the wrong one, but now, going deep into it, Physics is just superb. Our college has various events organized, and we have Freshers Day, Dandiya Nights, Diwali Mela, Annual Fests and Department fests, Farewell, etc. The Science department has a Science Day celebration.

Our college has very good infrastructure.
Placements: The average salary offered is Rs.40,000 per month. Less students get placed in companies through our college. Some internships and jobs are provided such as web developer, business analytic intern, and business development intern. Placements are not good in our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Wi-Fi is provided with good speed. Classrooms are well managed with digital boards for students. Hostels are not open but they may be ready in the next year. Labs are not upgraded and instruments are not good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and guide students throughout their careers. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. Semester exams are averagely difficult. Students should score 33% to pass.

The college has good facilities and a healthy environment.
Placements: In our college, around 51% of students got placed, and more than 250 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 9LPA, the lowest salary package is 1LPA, and the average salary offered is 3-5LPA. The highest stipend offered was Rs. 20,000 per month.
Infrastructure: All Lab classrooms are good and functional, yet there are no hostel facilities, and the hostel is under construction. Maitreyi college library has a collection of around 90,000 volumes and comprises books. In sports complex available facilities: Cricket ground, Basketball ground, Volleyball court, Football ground. Lab facilities are the Chemistry lab, Physics lab, electronic lab, botany lab, and Zoology lab. About the events, Every department organised their fest every year.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful, calm, and well qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is impressive. There are a lot of societies that add you to extra curriculum activities. The semester exams are not too difficult if you study hard throughout the year, and there is no exam pressure. In percentile, 95% of students pass the exam.
Other: There are lots of choices of courses, but by the interest, I chose Physics the whole universe and galaxy are all about the science. There is a lot of scholarship like fee scholarship when you take admission, and you come to know about all the scholarship and event. Our mentor time to time revises all the things.

It is a great college with great faculty members and facilities.
Placements: About 60% of the students from our course get placed. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. A top recruiting company that visits the college for placements is Unique Shiksha. Almost everyone got internships from our course in various companies like Unique Shiksha, Infosys, etc. A top role offered is a content manager.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is good. Labs, classrooms, and a library are clean. The hostel is very good, with great quality food in a mess. It has good medical facilities. It has a great area with facilities for sports and games. There are separate rooms for separate facilities. The food served is healthy and tasty.
Faculty: Teachers are great in our college. Their teaching quality is also great. The course curriculum is relevant and is for the students who like being logical and reasonable. Semester exams are not difficult. If you study consistently, you can easily pass the exams.
Other: I have chosen this course because I love Physics. The best thing about our course is that it is logical. Everything is great here. Nothing should be changed in our course. The scholarship is provided, but I am unaware of the process. Everything is great.

Q:   Is B Sc. at Maitreyi College better than Zakir Husain Delhi College?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Zakir Husain Delhi College traces its origin to more than 300 years ago to a Madrasa. After many tumultuous events, the college as we see today was the final avatar.

ZHDC and MC, both have obtained grades of "A+" and are well known for good faculty and academics. Both colleges are in demand by students during the admission process. Frankly speaking there is nothing to differentiate between these two except that Maitreyi is women only while Zakir Husain is co-ed. Hence boys have no choice but to go to Zakir Husain while girls can opt out of the two.

In final analysis, one can say that both colleges are of equal calibre and a student can choose anyone without losing out on anything.

Best wishes to you.
