MEC Kochi offers various courses in B.Tech and M.Tech. The minimum eligibility to get a seat in this college is 50% in 10^th and 12^th examinations from any board of education. Additionally the student has to appear and get a required cutoff ranks for particular branch they are selecting. There is mandatory of physics and mathematics in +2 level of education with more than 50% of marks.

Model Engineering College (MEC) kochi offers 5 specialisation courses in MTech. The eligibility Criteria of Mtech at MEC are-

Established in 1989, Government Model Engineering College is known for its teaching methodology. The institute has over 100 faculty members, 1500 students and 50 supporting staff. MEC Kochi is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and offers B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D programmes. MEC Kochi has been ranked 91 for Engineering. The admission to the B.Tech course is based on the rank obtained in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. Allotment to 95% seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. MEC Kochi does not offer direct admission. Candidates need to follow certain steps to join the college. Starting with fill out the application form for the preferred course. The selection for BTech programme Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. Besides, admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score. Once selected, candidates need to participate in counselling and seat allotment.

Model Engineering College offers four UG courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and three PG courses, namely VLSI Design & Embedded Engineering, Computer Science Engineering in Data Science, Mechanical with Energy Management in affiliation with AKTU.

S grade for 90 and above percentage of marks, A grade for 85 to below 90, B grade for 80 to below 85, C grade for 70 to below 80, D grade for 60 to below 70, E grade for 50 to below 60, F grade for below 50.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent pass with at least 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology taken together to apply for MEC Kochi BTech admission. This college offers students good placements and the students can start applying for placement from their 5^th semester onwards. Almost 97% of students get placed in the campus selections of CSE branch and also for remaining branches. The highest package offered is INR 30LPA and the average package is INR 8-9LPA.

Yes, MEC Kochi provides scholarships to M.Tech students. The institute also offers stipend to candidates belonging to SC/ ST category. Scholarship is offered to students with a valid GATE score as per AICTE norms for a total period of 24 months. Besides, candidates can also apply for the scholarships offered by the State Government.

I will refer TKM if the candidate is really interested in CGPA in semester examination and also wants a good campus life which includes fests various events parties. TKM gives the best campus life as compared to MEC.

While in MEC, the course curriculum is completely based on skill development and improving personality. They also provide guidance in placement selection. MEC provides a great environment to study and the staff were cooperative and got high competition on improving skills.
