NIFT Delhi Admission Process 2024

NIFT Delhi admission criteria is completely entrance-based. Candidates who meet the course-specific eligibility criteria can take the NIFT entrance exam to get a seat in the desired programme. The admission process broadly involves online registration, entrance test, result declaration, counselling and seat allotment. For the candidate's reference, each of the stages in the NIFT Delhi course admissions is explained below:

STEP 1: NIFT Delhi Application Process 2024

Candidates who fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. Eligible students can fill out the application form through the NIFT official website (nift.ac.in/niftadmissions.in/nift.ac.in/admission).

STEP 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam

In the next step, the applicant has to appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam. This entrance test is conducted in two parts: written exams and situation tests/personal interviews. Moreover, the written exam is conducted in online mode. The situation test is in offline mode and the personal interview is in online mode.

STEP 3: Release of Cutoff List

After the selection rounds, the institute releases the cutoff list. The cutoff marks vary from one course to another.

STEP 4: NIFT Counselling

Candidates with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks become eligible for counselling. During counselling, a seat allotment procedure is carried out. The complete schedule regarding the same shall be available on the NIFT official website.

STEP 5: Document Verification & Payment of NIFT Delhi Fees

Good placement and college life.

Placements: You need atleast 75% with excellent communication and trend knowledge to get hire by a good brand or label. Top recruiting companies : Relience, H&m, zara, Admit aggrawal etc. The lowest package is around 4.5 LPA and the highest is 6.5-7. Very few student get hire and get internships but if you are hardworking and creative enough you will get hire by yourself because nift is like, students get hire by just name of nift so definitely worthy option.

Infrastructure: Hostels are good but really very expensive if you can afford nift hostels are good option but mostly students leaving in PG or shared apartments. Even hostel students get shift after a year. Classrooms, library, auditorium, labs are good but not that happy with infrastructure, they should have focus on it students are spending decent amount here.

Faculty: I'll just say if you're choosing nift, you are at right place your future is bright even if you don't get placed you will have idea what you should do or good for your future, you can start up your own label or mainly you will have trendful knowledge.

Faculty: Teachers were highly knowledgeable. Most of them had doctorate degrees in the field of fashion. They were well-experienced. If you want to just secure a job, go for it but don't expect salary packages and increments.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in our college. The lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA. Top recruiters were Reliance, Trident, Shahi Export, Raymonds, and Blackberry. Almost 100% got roles in retail house and production houses like industrial engineer, assistant merchandiser, quality manager, and production manager.

Infrastructure: Our college provided Wi-Fi, labs, machines, a library, conference rooms, and canteens. The hostel was only for girls, so there was no idea about the food. Free Wi-Fi excess was given. There was no playground on campus. Water facility was good. Hygiene was maintained. Washrooms were clean.

Faculty: Some of the teachers were knowledgeable and helpful. Few of them were knowledgeable but they didn't take student's career seriously. Practical exposure was very less. They just wanted to complete the syllabus. They did not focus on students' skill development. Exams were of medium difficulty. The passing marks were 40 out of 100.

Other: The entrance exam for our course was very easy. It was the best course for students who wanted to work in the garment industry. Practical exposure should be more. Faculty members should focus on the skill development of the students.

Placements: NIFT Delhi offers the best placements among all the fashion institutes in India. The annual salary package offered is around 7 Lacs per annum and it goes upto 12 or 13 Lacs per annum. Many of my seniors got internships at boat etc. Just the name of NIFT is enough.

Infrastructure: The hostel in NIFT is very good. The rooms are clean and spacious. The labs are well equipped with all the resources needed. The library has each and every book you need for research. The canteen has delicious food with different varieties.

Faculty: The teachers in NIFT are very helpful and are always ready to help students even outside the classes. They have enough knowledge of how industry works and they help you to get exposure you need for the industry. NIFT has a well designed curriculum. The jury at the end of semester holds 40 percent weightage.
