NIFT Kolkata B.Des Highlights 2024
NIFT Kolkata Admission 2024 is open. NIFT offers a BDes programme in six specialisations, including Fashion Design, Leather Design, etc. Admission to the BDes course is on the basis of the score obtained in the NIFT entrance exam, which includes two entrance tests: Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Students who clear both tests are required to appear for the Situation Test for the final selection. Candidate should not exceed 24 (29 years for SC/ ST/ PWD category students) years of age as on August 1 of the admission year. Before appearing for the entrance exam, candidates have to be eligible for the exam:
Eligibility Criteria: Twelve years of school education from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/ State Board New Delhi/ Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
Selection Criteria: CAT + GAT + Situation Test.

The entrance exam includes Creative assesment test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT) the candidates who clears both of these are required to aplear for SAT which is the final selection. Student should not be older than 24 years old ( 29 years for SC/ST/ PWD category students) as on august 1 of the year of admission.
