Life at NITJ is experienced by every student.

Placements: The placement rate is good, with 91%, and the average package is 11 to 12 LPA, the highest package in the CSE branch is 52 LPA, and the average package in the CSE branch is around 15 LPA. So placement-wise, the college is good compared to other good colleges in Punjab or India.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, and all basic facilities are also good in the college, like gym, library, and classrooms, which are neat and clean. Also, Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the college. So infrastructure is good and nice, and basic facilities are provided.

Faculty: All faculty are experts, and most of them have completed Ph.D. in specific subjects. Some persons lag in teaching, but their concepts are mostly clear. The curriculum is also well updated and includes modern subjects and topics. In one year, 4 exams are conducted, and 2 exams are conducted per semester.

Placements: There is a combined batch of CSE and DSE branches. In these branches, in 2023, the average package is 16.67 LPA, the highest is 57 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. In 2024, the average is 13.87 LPA, the highest is 51 LPA (CSE), and the lowest is 4 LPA. The percentage of placements is very good, approximately 96 percent in 2023 and 2024. In our college, the placement rate in the chemical branch is 100 percent.

Infrastructure: In the first year, 4-seater and 2-seater rooms are available, and the 4-seater rooms are comparatively better. Wi-Fi and LAN Wi-Fi are available. The canteen, medical facility, and sports facilities are very good. Overall, everything is well, but from the hostel point of view, I am also disappointed because the rooms are 4-seater, making it tough to adjust with four people in one room.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified. The director is very strict, so the teaching staff is very attentive. Semester exams can be considered on the difficult side, and cheating is not possible. There is a 5000-rupee fine if you are caught cheating.

Good placements are there in our branch.

Placements: The good placement percentage at Bharath University is due to recruiting companies like Wipro, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, Aakash Limited, Trident, Vardhman, RSWM, BPCL, and HPCL. The highest package is 1.2 crore, and the lowest is 7 LPA. Some students are also placed in top MNCs like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, UrbanClap, Swiggy, and Zomato.

Infrastructure: There are many sports facilities available on campus. There are two grounds: one is the mineral ground and the other is the small ground for the IT park. Walking and parking areas are also available. A meditation club is also present. There are several other clubs where students can participate and enjoy. The college has 10 hostels—two for first-year students, and the rest for second, third, and fourth-year students.

Faculty: The passing percentage in the college is around 80%. The syllabus is revised every 3 years and is designed to be industry-friendly, helping students prepare for the industry. The faculty at this college is also good, with many holding Ph.D. degrees. The syllabus for this course includes Data Structures and Algorithms, Machine Learning, Python Programming, and Computer Programming.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 85%. The highest package is 89 LPA offered by Atlassian, the lowest package was 5 LPA offered by EXL Services, and the average package is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course include Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, Expedia Groups, Saras AI, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, HP, Physicswallah, Technook, Adani Wilmar, Trident, and Vardhman Private Limited. The percentage of students who intern is below 40%, comprising all degrees in the college, but it is above 55% in Computer Science and related branches. The placements for circuital and computer-related branches are good, but for other branches, the placements are not up to that level. Core students who are willing to join this college in these branches must keep in mind that their chances of placement are relatively less.

Infrastructure: All classrooms are fully air-conditioned and are equipped with projectors and reading labs. The departmental buildings for all branches are separate. The college has a good Wi-Fi facility that spreads across the entire campus. There are many constructions going on inside the campus, with several development projects underway. Recently, NIT Jalandhar received ₹89 crore for infrastructure development. Two more hostels will be inaugurated by March 2025 to accommodate all students, and then all students will be given single accommodations. The campus area is not very large; it is just 154 acres, but to the naked eye, it looks like only about 70 acres, as most of the area includes faculty residences where students are not allowed to enter. The college has its own temple where students can worship. Daily at 6:00 PM, a jagrata is arranged on campus. The mess food is also very good, and the quality of food served in the mess is excellent.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and skilled. The teaching quality is not highly satisfying; it’s more at a school level, and the attendance criteria are strictly followed. Students are taught in such a manner that they will be industry-ready after just passing. The syllabus for my course was recently updated in 2023. Students are motivated whenever they feel depressed; they can simply go to a professor and have their problems addressed. The Dean of Student Welfare also helps students succeed in their lives. Most of the professors have direct contact with recruiters.

Compromises with placements but the college is good.

Placements: The recent trend in placement shows a decline in the number of companies visiting our college for it. The recent decline in companies can be attributed to excessive recession in the market. The placement of our college has declined from 85% in 2023 to 80% in 2024. The average package of our college is 8 Lacs per annum, and the highest package is 54 LPA. Most of the students were placed in teaching companies. Top companies that are visiting our campus are Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Uber, and Urban Company. Most of the students were placed but given a 6-month internship by the companies, and based on their performance, they will be made permanent. That is, now companies were following the principle of trial and then permanent, which led to most of the students being unemployed.

Infrastructure: Gym, reading room, library, tennis court, volleyball court, badminton court, indoor games room, computer lab, bank, post office, and ATM are there inside the campus. The hostel was provided with all the facilities, such as a lift, table, chair, study room, bed, tube light, and table lamp in some rooms. The hostels were cleaned once between two days. The college is very clean, and the whole area is surrounded by beautiful trees. The area of the campus is 154 acres.

Faculty: The professors of college were not good because they have very little exposure to industries and were average in terms of heavy coding that companies had only started to ask from the students. Most of the professors have Ph.D. degrees, and they graduated from the same college, which is NIT Jalandhar. The checking of the answer sheet is very strict, and the question papers were also tough, but in the end-of-semester examination, that is, in the final semester examination, the checking of the answer sheet is very easy. Most of the students get passed in the exam just by studying three to four days earlier, just before the exams.

Other: TechNITI 2024 has been postponed due to a delay in admission of the 2024 batch, and now it will be conducted after the midterm examination, which is just after the 15th of October.
