Less number of companies are visiting this year and less number of people recruited in core.

Good college, average infrastructure, and nice placements.
Placements: Majorly SDE roles in non-core, other than that nearly 100 percent placement as companies simply take masses because the college is present in an industrial area. The highest package is approximately 1.2 CPA and the lowest is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Jindal, students here approach companies.
Infrastructure: Not great infrastructure, but two new hostels, one for boys and one for girls, are excellent. Otherwise, other hostels are not that good. Also, we don't have our own auditorium, but we do have an open-air theatre where nearly all events and fests take place.
Faculty: As other National Institutes of Technologies and Indian Institutes of Technologies, this college follows similar curriculum and semester exams. Professors here are chill, but there are some professors who are strict also. They are quite knowledgeable, talented, and helpful.
Other: I opted for this course because I heard that students from this course in other colleges have better placements than other known branches.

It has average college life, good professors, a mixed type of seniors, and average infrastructure.
Placements: It's amazing that here the placement statistics are nearly 100 percent. One of the reasons is that here in Jamshedpur, there are so many factories, so companies simply come and hire nearly all students. The internship situation is not satisfactory, as very few get on-campus internships in the core field.
Infrastructure: Except for hostel L for boys (which is the new hostel provided for first years this year) and a new hostel for girls, all other hostels are a total mess. Students face huge discomfort as the range of Wi-Fi is not so great. In hostels, there is irregularity in the water supply.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and knowledgeable. They are quite qualified, as even some of them published their own articles in good numbers. But the course curriculum is average. Semester exams are in other colleges. Here, seniors are quite supportive.
Other: College is good, but since this college is present in Jharkhand. It is a pretty much backward state, so we have few opportunities compared to other developed states' colleges.

NIT Jamshedpur has very good placement, but you have to study.
Placements: Here, every branch has very good placement, including production engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and computer science engineering. Here, the highest package last year was 1.43 crores.
Infrastructure: All the 1st hostels in this college are better than any other NITs, but for the 2nd year, 3rd year, and 4th year, don't expect more from this college. The mess food is not at all good. You have canteens in your 1st year hostel at night time which open at 6 pm.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you're respectful, if not, then be ready to get a backlog in that subject for sure. But you should sit in the first four benches and study from the start. To get good marks and grades in the subjects and ofcourse good SGPA in the semester exams.
Other: You can get many scholarships as NSP, Ekalyan, etc.

Completely satisfied with the college and the branch.
Placements: Currently, like 14 out of 30 students are placed till now, with the highest package around 44 LPA, and our average package is around 19 LPA, which I think is good. This is the first batch from ECM that is on placement. I think with time, placement will be better than the current scenario. I would like to inform you that all of them are placed in non-core, so this branch is completely on the tech side. With time, the branch demand will increase in the market.
Infrastructure: For 1st year student hostel L is allocated, which is new and modern with a good wifi and LAN facility. So overall, there is no issue with the internet. A smart, well-equipped classroom with modern infrastructure. Food quality is fine, better than other hostels where I lived, and they maintain proper hygiene also.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are well qualified, like some have completed their Ph.D. from abroad, and some from IIT. So no doubt on their qualification. Most of them are good in behaviour and very supportive in both academic and non-academic activities. From this year onward, there is relatively grading is done, so it completely depends on your overall class average. Semester exams are also quite moderate, not that tough.
Other: Like this is alloted me in jossa so it's completely expected from myside but now I am enjoying it. I suggest that if the mechanical portion is reduced a little, then it would be better. In our college, we have too many events, like every month we have at least 4-5 days of events. The campus is not too crowded, it has enough space, and full of a natural vibe.

This place is good if you want placements.
Placements: Placement is very great for circuit branches, comparable to the top 5 NITs, also core branches also have good placement percentage. Recent placements show high packages (up to 82 LPA) and strong CSE average (around 20 LPA) with major recruiters like Google and Tata Motors, while academic calendars run July-Jan (Autumn) and Jan-June (Spring). For the NIT Jamshedpur Metallurgy branch, major recruiters are core steel/metals companies like Tata Steel, Vedanta Group, JSW, and JS.
Infrastructure: Hostels are top-notch, the new Birsa Munda hostel is on par. I have attached an image of the hostel. The library and labs are not that well-equipped. We have a dispensary which has all basic medicines, and an ambulance service is available 24 hours around the campus.
Faculty: The curriculum of the course is relevant, and we have studied a few portions of the core subject in the 1st year itself. We cannot totally depend on the process for our semester exam, as not all professors are that great, few are good, but not all. We have to study by our own to get good grades.
Other: There are so many fests happening around the campus. We have our sports fest, Urja, cultural fest, Ojas, and all branches have their individual branch fests.

Real review from NITian.
Placements: Almost 95% above are placed in the PIE branch. Overall, there is 92% placement percentage at NIT Jamshedpur. In this course, the highest would be around 18-20 LPA and above, the average would be around 10 LPA, and the lowest would be around 5 LPA. Eaton, JSW Steel, Flipkart (supply management roles), etc. Top roles include Data Analyst, supply chain roles, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel, I would rate 5 above and more especially, the hostel is at the level of IITs and above any NITs hostel. Cleanliness in the hostel is also top-level, sweeping machines are used. Mess food, I would rate 4.5. Non-Veg is very good. Veg students have to suffer a little bit. Medical, I would rate 5. There is always an ambulance available 24/7, and there are doctors for stress and anxiety. Also, one of my classmates has anxiety problems, so the college authority takes it seriously. Sports, Iwould rate 4. Mostly, all sports are available, so overall 4. You can check out my Instagram profile (raja_kumar.018), don't forget to follow me.
Faculty: Professors are helpful. All course curricula are relevant as they have recently been renewed. Here, branch-specific subjects are being taught by professors who are important for the future, such as C++, Java, CSS, and DSA, which are included in the CSE branch. PIE branch includes Supply management subjects, and Data Analysis subjects are market-ready subjects. Semester exams are of a moderate level, except for 1-2 subjects, depending on proof.
