Yes, NIT Puducherry offers B.Tech Civil Engineering course to students. Those students opting for the Civil Engineering field are taught Interface Modeling, Structural Engineering, FRP Composites, Constitutive Modeling of Materials, and others. The research activity of the Engineering department includes both sponsored projects and fundamental research.

NIT Puducherry admission is mainly entrance-based. The university offers undergraduate to postgraduate and doctorate levels programmes in Engineering, Technology, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences.
