Worth to take admission here in the undergraduate programme.

Placements: The placements are below average for masters courses. About 2 -3 software companies visit the college every year. The salary offered varies from 3.5 to 4.5 lacs per annum. L&T construction, TCS, Capgemini, Hexaware, Infosys, etc., came to the campus. Two people went to Tata Steels for internships at my time. The stipend is provided to GATE qualified students, i..e, they provided Rs. 12,400 per month. There is a placement and training cell present on the campus. It is useful for B.Tech students only.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is Wi-Fi activated. The LAN connections are also provided to post-graduation and doctoral candidates. The library is not up to the mark as it is an institute of national importance. The classrooms are spacious and ventilated. The sports and games are given special importance, and annual sports and cultural fests are celebrated every year. The canteen is very poor, and there are no varieties. The hostel facility is provided to 25% students only due to limited hostel buildings.

Faculty: The faculty members are very good, highly qualified, and experienced. The lab facility is also good and separate lab attendants are provided for every equipment. Nowadays, the projector based study is also started here which helps in efficient knowledge gaining in less time.

Other: The campus area does not meet the NIT standards. The photography club, cultural club, and classical music club are present on the campus.

Great place to have M.Tech, specially in thermal engineering.

Placements: Don't expect really good placements here. This place is for you if you want to do self-preparation for government jobs or ESE. 3 to 4 students out of 12 are placed, some in the field of research and some in teaching. Good project work may lead you to IIT's for PhD. L&T, Infosys, Amazon and many more visited the campus. The average salary offered is Rs. 5.5 lacks.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still under development. WiFi is available. It has a very good speed in the hostel. One can use internet in the library and many labs around the campus. 3 books can be issued for an M.Tech scholar. The classrooms are normal. Sports facilities are good. Good medical facilities within the campus. Hostel mess is for individual hostels. Food quality and taste depend on the hostel. Regular cleaning is there. Two types of rooms are available- 2 bed and 3 bed type. Overall, hostel facility is quite good.

Faculty: Excellent and well-qualified faculty. Most of them are PhD. Very helpful. You will get enough time for your project work or what you want to do. In the first year, there are 10 subjects which reduce to 2 in the second year. You can get enough time for self-preparation in the 2nd year.

Other: It is one of best college in India. Here the facility is so experienced, having good teaching skill, they are also very helpful and cooperating in nature. Here the placement cell is very nice. Almost all student got placed after final year. Special department of applied geology is one of nicest department of this college. Students of this department are so talented in mineral exploration, remote sensing, hydrogeology etc.
