The PULAT exam will be conducted as per the schedule provided by the examination cell. PULAT Application Process 2026 is completely online. PULAT application form are filled online on Presidency University website. Aspirants looking for admission to the Law courses at the University will be required to fill the application form on, presidencyuniversity.in

The exam will be based on the subjects such as English Language, Current Affairs, Legal and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. What is PULAT?

PULAT is the Law Admission Test conducted by the Presidency University, Bangalore for admission to its School of Law, PU. Through PULAT, courses offered are - BA LLB, BCom LLB, and BBA LLB. The entrance exam is conducted on the lines of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) pattern i.e. the question paper is based on the English language, Current Affairs, Legal and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. There are 150 questions for 1 mark each. The duration of examination is two hours. Candidates who qualify PULAT, further need to participate in the Personal Interview as part of selection process. The university also accepts CLAT and LSAT India scores for admission to the offered courses.

Q:   When will PULAT 2026 exam be conducted?

The date of the PULAT 2026 exam will only be shared with candidates who apply for PULAT exam. The application form will tentatively be released in February 2026 at presidencyuniversity.in.

Q:   When will PULAT be conducted?
A: 

Every year, PU LAT is conducted in different slots or phases from April to September. Pesidency University, Bangalore, conducts PULAT online as a home-based test in these multiple slots from April to September. Based on the scores obtained by candidates in the PULAT entrance exam, they are invited for a personal interview (PI). The collective scores obtained by PULAT and PI help the university prepare a merit list for different law courses. If the name of a student appears on the PULAT merit list of a particular course, he or she is eligible for admission to this course.

Note: Presidency University also accepts the score of other entrance exams, such as CLAT. LSAT India, SLAT and others for admission to 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB courses. In this case, candidates do not need to appear in PULAT.

Q:   What is the frequency of PULAT?
A: 

The PULAT is conducted multiple times in a year as a home-based proctored test. The frequency of the exam depends on the decision of Presidency University, Bangalore. The institute authorities can conducted the test in a particular year as many times as they want. 

Q:   When will PULAT Notification release?
A: 

Presidency University will release the PULAT notification soonInterested candidates will be required to fill the application form online. The exam dates will also be announced through the notification.

PULAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for PULAT 2026 will be common for all courses i.e. BA LLB, BBA LLB, and BCom LLB as under-

  • Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board. 
  • The candidates should have secured at least forty five percent marks in the qualifying exam.
  • If candidates have already appeared for CLAT then they need not appear for PULAT. They can apply with their CLAT Score

Q:   What are PULAT eligibility criteria for LLB admissions?

The PULAT eligibility criteria to apply for an LLB (3-year LLB) course have been mentioned below:

  • A candidate seeking admission to the B.B.A.LLB (Hons.), B.Com.LLB, B.A.LLB. (Hons.) Programs should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from any recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Should an age limit to such admission be mandated by the prescribed authority, the same will be binding on such admissions. Candidates, whose age is above 20 years as on July 01 on the year of admission, shall furnish an undertaking to the university to this effect.
  • Candidate should have appeared in any National or State level or Presidency University entrance examination like CLAT, LSAT and such others

Candidates can apply for PULAT 2026 as per the method below-

  • Visit PULAT portal
  • Click on the 'Apply Now' for PULAT Application 
  • A new page will open up with registration form, where candidates need to enter their basic details such as Mobile Number, Email ID etc. They also need to create a password for the login account.
  • Next, candidates need to click on 'Register' to save their details, and create a login ID 
  • In the application form fill up, candidates need to enter their course details, academic qualification, and qualifying exam status
  • Once, all the details are filled in, candidates need to save the form and submit it.
  • Candidates should keep all the documents ready while filling up the application form of PULAT 2026, as they need to upload the Class 10 certificate, and pay the application fee.

PULAT 2026 Admission Process

The admission-cum-selection process of PULAT 2026 is as under-

Application - Candidates need to apply for PULAT on the official website including registration, academic details and documents upload. They also need to pay the applicable fee for PULAT 2026 registration. The application process is completely online, and candidates need not submit the forms in offline mode. 

Appear for the entrance exam - Those who did not appear for any other law entrance exam, have to appear for the exam. The exam will be held as per the schedule shared with the registered candidates only.

Qualify PULAT/ CLAT - Candidates must appear and qualify in any of the entrance exam accepted by the Presidency University for School of Law admissions.

Appear for PI and Complete Admission Formalities - Candidates who qualify the entrance exam, have to participate in the personal interview rounds for the final selection procedure. The schedule and venue details will be shared with the candidates in the provisional admission letter. The candidates, then need to complete the admission formalities including fee payment and document verification.

To take the PULAT 2026 aspirants must follow the instructions mentioned below:
