Fundamental rights, directive principles, organs of government, and amendments should be studied along with the formation of contracts and remedies. Candidates must also study the Indian Penal Code (IPC) - general principles, specific offenses, and general exceptions.
In the Legal Principles, the important topics include interpretation of statutes and legal documents, legal maxims (short, well-established principles of law), etc. However, for Legal Reasoning, candidates must know the case analysis and be adept at legal research.

TG LAWCET Syllabus 2026 - Difficulty Level, Sectional Weightage
The TS LAWCET Exam syllabus for the 3-year LLB and the 5-year LLB courses is similar, but there is a difference in the difficulty level. The TG LAWCET 2026 Five-year integrated LLB course is at the Intermediate level/10+2 level, and the TG LAWCET 2026 three-year LLB course is at the degree level. The TS LAWCET exam lasts for 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes). During this time, candidates answer multiple-choice questions covering General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law.
Candidates will need the following documents during the TS LAWCET application process:
- Caste certificate
- Photograph & Signature
- Income certificate
- Qualifying exam certificate
- Transfer certificate
Candidates must keep scanned copies of these documents ready before filling the form. The guidelines size and dimensions of the photograph and signature are provided in the official notification.
The TS LAWCET 2026 result was announced on June 4 at 4 pm.
TS LAWCET admit card 2026 was released on the website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE): lawcet.tgche.ac.in on May 12. Candidates will have to download the admit card before the TS LAWCET 2026 exam and take its multiple printouts. They need to affix their coloured passport-size photograph to their TS LAWCET hall ticket or admit card.
The TS LAWCET cutoff is the minimum rank or score required for admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by law colleges in Telangana. It varies every year based on several factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, available seats, and category of the candidate.
- For General category, candidates usually need to score around 70–90 marks to get admission in top law colleges.
- For BC category, the cutoff generally ranges between 60–80 marks.
- For SC/ST candidates, it can be around 45–65 marks, depending on the college.
Each participating college releases its own college-wise and category-wise cutoff after the TS LAWCET counselling process.
The time needed to prepare for the TS LAWCET exam depends on your background and study routine, but on average, 3 to 6 months of focused preparation is enough for most candidates.
- If you study 3–4 hours daily, you can complete the syllabus comfortably in about 4 months.
- Students familiar with current affairs and reasoning may need less time, while beginners might take a bit longer.
- Regular mock tests and revision during the last month help improve speed and accuracy.
Consistent study and understanding of the exam pattern are more important than long hours.

To download the TS LAWCET admit card or hall ticket, TS LAWCET applicants need their TS LAWCET registration number, hall ticket number of their qualifying exam and date of birth. After enetering these details, you need to click on "Download Hallticket" button.
Once you are done with the TS LAWCET hall ticket, you need to create its multiple printouts for the following reasons:
