The green ambience of college improves your study quality.
Placements: The biotechnology department had a 40% placement rate. The highest package was approximately 5-6 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package was approximately 3-4 Lacs per annum. The top roles offered were analyst, trainee, toxicologist, and microbiologist. However, our field requires higher studies, so students are encouraged to pursue a Masters and contribute to research.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is good, the labs are well maintained and have proper teaching facilities, the classrooms are good, and the library is well maintained and has a good selection of books. The medical facility in the college is good. The canteen is good, sports and games are very good, and a gym is also available.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful and highly professional, and the teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum includes not only theory but also encourages practical and hands-on knowledge. The difficulty level is moderate, with a pass percentage of 75%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn DNA Fingerprinting. The best thing about the course is that it improves the research-oriented mindset of the students. The course also encourages students to get involved in startup ideas, which is a great way to learn and apply what they have learned. The events and fests are top-notch, and I have no doubt about that. In our department, we conduct seminars and invite industry professionals to share their ideas.

It is a great college to explore your interest in your chosen branch.
Placements: CSE had 100% placements in 2021, and it has been the same for a long time. Other branches also have great placements according to one's abilities. I'm a biotech student, and my seniors of final year also had good placements. Placements isn't a subject of concern in SIT.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are great. There are no complaints. The boys' hostel is inside the campus, and the girls' hostel is 3-4 km away from the campus, for 1st and 2nd-year girls. Bus facilities are available to commute to the college, also for the lunch break. From 3rd year onwards, students are moved nearby college.
Faculty: The faculty members are well experienced and always supportive. Academics are always given importance. Many events are held in SIT, like project display, intercollege contests and cultural events. Students can have great exposure to all kinds of competitions, along with academics.
Other: Biotechnology in SIT is great apart from academics. We have an opportunity to start research from the initial years of engineering only. We have funded biotech labs to work on research we are interested in with great guidance and mentorship. We can work in fully equipped labs to make an impact rather than just do it for the sake of a project.

SIT Tumkur - Imparting degree with value system.
Placements: All the eligible students usually get placed mostly in IT companies like TCS, Wipro, E & Y, Drishti, Infosys and MindTree. In our batch, there were 100% placements for my branch. The average placement was also more than 90%. Toppers also get multiple offers.
Infrastructure: There are 65 acres of lush green campus. Separate hostels for boys and girls with awesome food. Hostels were instructed to maintain a high level of hygiene. Every branch had smart classrooms equipped with top class facilities. Teaching and no teaching staff members were very humble.
Faculty: All the professors are PhD, Asst professors also possess master degree in their disciplines. Industrial training and exposure is a mandatory part of the curriculum. Institute always maintained the standard student faculty ratio prescribed by the university.
Other: SIT Tumkur is one among the top 100 engineering colleges listed by NIRF, Govt of India. It's one among the top 5 institutions in Karnataka. Institute is blessed with the guidance of 110-year-old president Dr Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji, regarded as living God.

Being normal and happy in the college environment.
Placements: While the placement opportunities are good overall, students from biotechnology and non-circuit branches often find that the salaries offered are quite low. In contrast, circuit branches like computer science and electronics have ample placement opportunities, so it’s highly recommended to pursue strong courses if you’re focused on securing good placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel's infrastructure is also good. There is so much fun in the hostel but when it comes to food and security guards it is not up to the mark. Everything is encouraged like sports, games, and events but the fee structure for both courses and the hostel is relatively high.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are almost only concentrating on completing the course syllabus. I think they don't concentrate on the overall development of the students but some faculty members are good. Some are encouraging them to become entrepreneurs.
Other: I choose the course because of my passion and interest.

I am satisfied with the quality of education provided by our college.
Placements: In our course, about 14 students got placed out of 15 students. More than 90% of students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Byju's, Infosys, TCS, Kcat Enzymatic, etc., visited our campus for placements. Roles like BDA, system engineer, QA, etc., were offered to the students. The highest salary package offered in our course was 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Almost 100% of students got an internship in the research lab of different government institutions and also in biotechnology companies like Live on Biolabs and Samantha Biolab.
Infrastructure: The college provides all the facilities starting from fermenter to LAF. Wi-Fi facility is available only for students, and if a guest visits our college, they also provide Wi-Fi facility for them. Smart classrooms are available. The college provides a central library with a department library. Hostels are huge, and it was provided year-wise for students, so there was no chance of ragging. The food served was of high quality, but only vegetarian food was served for students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful. All teachers are PhD holders from reputed government colleges. The education provided to us was best in total Karnataka with respect to biotechnology department. We always had a chance to study the recent trend subjects as our college is academic autonomous.
Other: This course provides an advantage in the upcoming years, so I have chosen this course. The awareness regarding biotechnology should be given in India, and the job opportunities should be increased with payment also. Many events and departmental activities are organised at our college.
