SRM Valliammai Engineering College is often praised for its excellence.
Placements: Placements mostly in ECE and CSE courses are good. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA, and the highest salary package is 15 LPA. Students get internships in big companies. Above 70% of students got internships from the ECE course in companies like TCS, Accenture, Renault, etc.
Infrastructure: SRM Valliammai Engineering College's academic buildings and infrastructure are good. Hostel facilities are extraordinary and laboratory facilities are good. Sports facilities are extraordinary.
Faculty: SRM Valliammai Engineering College faculty members are friendly. They are teaching lessons very well and properly. The teaching of core courses are foundation skills that students learn early in their program. These courses prepare students for more advanced courses later.
Other: SRM Valliammai Engineering College conducts many events. It also provides many scholarships. Extracurricular activities are good. The college has a 10-storey building complex of 29,000 square meters to accommodate.

Absolutely a very good college to learn something new about social life.
Placements: Students who have a CGPA of 9.5 and above have gotten placements. The highest package of 12 LPA was offered to students who got placements. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, TCS, and Accenture. Web designer, web developer, and data analyst are the major roles offered in this course.
Infrastructure: The hostel is cleanly maintained by the management, and the rooms have Wi-Fi facilities. The food provided by the hostel mess is of very good quality, and there is freedom to have entertainment and be involved in sports activities. I am okay with this hostel to stay as it is simple and homely.
Faculty: Teachers have very good experience in the teaching field. The curriculum just helps for clearing exams. The semester exams are easy. One needs a minimum of 55 to get a passing percentage. The faculty members have very good technical knowledge and experience in teaching companies.
Other: This course would be better in the future.

I am somewhat satisfied with the infrastructure and staff members of our college.
Placements: Students get placed but no product-based companies are taking place in the placements. The salary packages offered are around 2.5 LPA to 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Accenture, Wipro, TCS, and Cuts. Mostly 90% of students are getting placed in our college.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is a waste of money and the canteen food is somewhat good and has a good infrastructure. The systems are not much satisfying because all the computers are low-end and they are using the worst software in the market but the teaching is good enough.
Faculty: The teaching is definitely good in our college and the teachers are definitely trying their best to do their job. Mostly, the test preparation is given along with the study materials, and question banks are provided. So there are no problems from the teaching and exams point of view.
Other: We have friendly staff members in our college. The library and playground facilities are good.

I am dissatisfied with faculty members.
Placements: A good number of students from our department were placed. Apart from that, there were few who were helpful and seemed qualified for the job. Others seemed ended up in this just as a result of some accident or in their transition phase. About one or two staff members were quite adept in their qualification of the course. A professional course like this would definitely need that for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college wasn't that great, and most of the departments were in a single 11-storey building. There were couple other buildings for other departments as well, but that just seemed a little improper having enough place to build separate divisions for departments.
Faculty: Very few teachers here were very helpful, and they are concerned about making students industry-ready. Teaching quality, in general, wasn't that fulfilling. So it would have been helpful if teachers had been interested in pedagogy.

They provided very good placements in 2017. It has good infrastructure and well-trained teachers.
Placements: Every year, more than 500 students get placed from college. In 2017, nearly 85% of the students got placed from college. We were well trained for our placements during the first 3 years of our study. In the year 2017, more than 10 companies visited the campus for placements and recruited their employees from our college.
Infrastructure: We had 3 blocks in our college. There was an old block that holds office room, and the other blocks were for mechanical, civil, and EEE departments. The front block holds the first year streams. A new block of 11 floors holds the library, IT, CSE, ECE, and EIE departments. We have separate labs for mechanical and civil departments.
Faculty: All the staff members of our college were well trained. Each department had at least more than 10 staff members. Their teaching quality was good and easily understandable. We were in a comfort zone with our teaching staff. The practical knowledge was what we had some concerns.

Our college has good staff members and good infrastructure.
Placements: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, TCS, HCL, Oracle, etc., visit our college for placements. Staff members prepare students to meet the needs of industries, and they also train them well in all aspects. They impart soft skills training. Our college guides students for placements from the 2nd year only.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure and facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available here, and there is a good library. A digital library is also available, and there are good hostel facilities. The food available in the canteen is also good, and medical facilities are always available.
Faculty: Our college has well knowledgeable staff members. They guide students in the right way and share various information about job opportunities. They motivate students to do many paper presentations and projects. They constantly make us involve in co-curricular activities.
Other: Our college organises various events and makes students participate in many extra and co-curricular activities.

Good one, good infrastructure but poor laboratory facilities, poor research.
Placements: I'm currently doing Masters in USA, I would suggest to take other courses not EIE, if you want to go abroad because people don't prefer much students from EIE as the curriculum is very scattered and not focusing on one particular domain. It's the structure of the course, not the college so take other courses.
Infrastructure: I am was day scholar, not sure about hostel. Canteen is not very well maintained. I don't think there's any sports and games importance in this college all they care is periodical exam and special class. Wi-Fi doesn't exist in this college. Library is the worst, the librarians think that they own the books and treat you badly.
Faculty: They are okay. But not everyone will be supportive. HOD is very supportive, she guided me a lot. Uma Maheswari mam is the best in the department. Jennifer mam helped me a lot through the course. Need to improve a lot on their own research apart from just teaching, like how it is in other countries. To have professor's own research going on, in which students can participate.
Other: It's better if they have more choice of courses and let students pick on their own not based on the maximum number of students interested (electives). Remove partiality. Concentrate more on research and laboratory is required.

Review of SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Kanchipuram.
Placements: Almost 80-90% of the students who are eligible for campus placements get placed. You can't expect top companies to come here for hiring. Major recruiters are from the IT service industry. The college grooms you exceptionally well for interviews so that you aren't restrained only from college placements. I got placed in Accenture during campus placements and then pursed my interests and got placed in a startup.
Infrastructure: The instrumentation department is the top two breezy floors of an 11-storey building. The college is of 3 buildings, but with no inhibitions to the main university campus, you are free to sprawl across 200 acres. The college has above-par facilities, be it in laboratories, canteens or sports. The hostel is well-maintained and clean with free Wi-Fi. Food options are more than enough and decent. Even if you aren't satisfied, then you can have staple bread butter jam every day.
Faculty: Faculty members here are well-knowledgeable, always open to doubt clarification and friendly enough. Each professor has a niche field in which they specialise in, and all are advocates for the pursuit of education. Lab assistants are in a class of their own with their practical expertise.
Other: In the end, you aren't in an IIT or creme layered engineering institution. So it all depends on how you good you choose to make use of the resources available to you. The college provides plentiful facilities. I wasn't much into engineering, and even here the college provided bountiful amounts. I was the joint secretary, president of the department in the last two year. I was a cultural coordinator, and I was a placement club coordinator, which are organising events in a week.
