Average college with decent infrastructure and good placement, with great opportunities in sports.
Placements: Placement is quite better than other institutions present out there in Kolkata. When a student is pursuing in the 6th semester then, some companies like Namora and P360 come with a great internship offer of 7.5 LPA to 8 LPA. Other side, TCS, Infosys, and MindTree come with great opportunities with an offer of an average package of 4 LPA to 5 LPA, which varies. Almost 95% of students get their placements after 7th semester. So, we can offer a good kind of placement. Top role like SDE is offered.
Infrastructure: If we talk about the infrastructure of college which may affect your decision while choosing this college. It is not that good, not so much big a decent infrastructure is provided with good quality of lab and equipment. There is a normal as well as a digital library option. A good decent canteen facility is available. Since there is no hostel, a basic medical facility is provided during college days. If we talk about sports, there is a great opportunity for a sportsperson to showcase their skill in badminton, football, cricket, and table tennis. An annual sports event is also organised.
Faculty: If we talk about our faculty members, they are good and some of them are very knowledgeable. Some teachers put their entire energy into making students understand the concept and technology. The courses that are provided are not enough at this time, students must focus on their self-development with skills in different domains. As much as they gain skills, they are good at competing with other students. If we talk about the semester exam, this college comes under MAKAUT, a well-known university. So the exams are not that tough. One can easily score good marks in the semester.
Other: I chose this course because this course is very in demand. In this course, one will learn coding from the very basics with artificial intelligence and machine learning technology and gain great practical knowledge. Everyone is nearly too good about this course. Events like freshers' welcome party, tech fest, and cultural fest are organised by college committee. Many hackathon, debate, and project analysis are organised by the college. Many other seminars are also organised for awareness.

I'm satisfied with teaching quality and good placements in 2021 with 1 crore highest package.
Placements: The total number of seats in my course which is B.Tech in AIML is 60. The highest package is 25 LPA, the average is 5 LPA, and the minimum is 3 LPA. Around 70% of students got placed from my course in the last year and the rest didn't have a good CGPA. Top roles offered were tester and lead code.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the whole campus, although you need to go and ask the HOD for the passwords. Library and digital library both are available on campus. Classrooms are big enough and the canteen food quality is edible. I won't say it's tasty. Medical rooms are always open, and sports include cricket, tennis, football, badminton for both the gender.
Faculty: The best part about this college is teachers and the quality of their teaching. College might not have a huge campus but does have the best teachers, every teacher is perfect. The semester exams are affiliated with MAKAUT which is average to moderate. Pass percentage is 85%.
Other: This course is futuristic has too much scope for the future and provides a good package. Things that could have been better are a better and updated syllabus. The syllabus we are following is the old-school one followed by all MAKAUT colleges in Kolkata. Events are hosted on yearly basis cultural fest, tech fest farewell and freshers.

St. Thomas College: satisfactory faculty, great placements in 2015, really good infrastructure.
Placements: About 60% of the students were placed for the last session. LTI Mindtree rounds are ongoing, with Cognizant starting in the middle of October. The highest package has been 7.63 LPA at NRI Fintech, while the average dims below 5 LPA. Top recruiters like LTI Mindtree and Cognizant are yet to complete their rounds. The top roles offered are junior software developers and data analysts, with a meager 7% of students currently eligible for internships.
Infrastructure: There is no availability of free wifi in the college, with an internet connection only provided in software labs for working. Classrooms are average with no smart boards installed. Faulty projectors lead to disruptions in lectures. While the library is very well organized and maintained, unfortunately, it is perhaps only for the students to see exist, since getting to work on library computers is tedious, with a plethora of processes to go through. Just about decent staffing and communication help us survive the library hours. Facilities are not very well equipped, and getting monetary support for projects is near to impossible. Teachers are very good at lectures, though, with some of them even entertaining doubts from students well past working hours. The food available in the canteen is surely edible, but I don't think it's fair to call it good; it would be an insult to good food. They are bland and flavorless, yet getting that food takes a toll with massive lines inside a small canteen. Medical facilities are well provided on the campus, with sports like badminton, cricket, and football being regularly played by students.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and amiable, with all of them having a vast amount of knowledge in their respective fields. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is little to barely relevant to what the current industry asks from an engineer these days. The semester exams are well monitored and maintained, with little room for any wrongdoings. The pass percentage is about 30% with around a 4 CGPA per semester.
Other: I wanted to find a way to work in machine learning and data science, hence my choice of this field of study. I don't regret studying it. I've learned so much about artificial intelligence via this course, but I would improve the introduction to technical subjects like front-end, back-end, and full-stack development, in-depth DBMS, and cloud computing, with practicals done using AWS, among others.

The college is known for its discipline and placement, and the sports events are good.
Placements: The placement scenario in the college is quite good as it provides placement to around 80% of its candidates. Many companies visit for placement of the 4th year students and offer jobs at different aspects and of different packages. The highest package goes around 9 LPA-11 LPA while the lowest seen in the college is around 4.5 LPA. Overall, the average goes around 6 LPA-7 LPA. Top recruiters are P360, Namura, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and many more. Internships are not something provided by the college it all depends on students those who are interested in internships explore opportunities on their own.
Infrastructure: College campus size is not that much big but fair enough to accommodate all of its students. No hostel is provided by the college but the guidance regarding nearby PG is given at the college office. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and college library is good for all its resources through the semesters. Labs are also equipped with all the needed equipment. Canteen inside the college is affordable and is of good quality. They also provide various items throughout the week. Sports facilities are limited. Medical assistance is also good at the campus for first aid.
Faculty: Faculty members are all very qualified and experienced. They are cooperative to help students. The teaching quality is very good, and all assistance is given regarding the subject. All the course curriculum is good and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate level and passing percentage is 40%.
Other: Artificial Intelligence is the most required skill in today's industry thus this course helps us to learn deeply about AI. College also provides a wide range of fest and sports events. Interdepartmental sports are organized in various sports. Tech and cultural fest are also organized. College also accepts various scholarships whose details are provided by college itself. Many extracurricular activities are also arranged by the college for their students.

I am satisfied with the faculty because they are very friendly to the students and well-educated.
Placements: Placements are above average. The percentage of students placed in our college is 40-70%. Most of the placement students are not going to the company, or the company is not calling them to join. The highest is 93%, and the lowest is 35%. Infosys, POORNAM, and 6D Technologies are the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average, including the hostel. In our college, there are a minimum of 10-15 Wi-Fi networks, but students do not have access to Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is only accessible to faculty members and staff. Every department has its own Wi-Fi. There is a lab, and the library contains only textbooks.
Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly, helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good and relevant. No, we can join a 6-month course after graduation. It helps improve students' skills. The semester exams are difficult, and the pass percentage is not fixed.
