B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

Core placements are fabulous here.
Placements: I am from the chemical department of NIT Raipur, currently studying in the second semester. Placements of this college are actually good for the core branches, and it is decent for other branches. The highest package offered in my course is 17 LPA by Reliance (I'm not sure about it ). The top recruiting companies for our course are Reliance, HP, and IOCL.
Infrastructure: Since I'm from Bhilai, I did not get a hostel because they don't provide hostels to students who stay nearby, which is the thing I didn't like about the college. The infrastructure of my college is decent. It has labs and a central library. I don't know about hostel facilities since I am a day scholar.
Faculty: The course curriculum is definitely relevant. It has labs equipped with all the necessary equipment for students to learn and apply their knowledge in real-life situations. Professors are helpful, knowledgeable, and highly qualified. The teaching quality is different for different teachers. Semester exams are easy for me in the first semester.
Other: Students should join this college. There is also a fest called Eclectika, which is the biggest cultural fest of central India.

Good college if you want to pursue a core field.
Placements: I think my college has the best placement percentage in the Chemical Department in Central India (which includes Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh). The placements are more than 90% in our department. The highest package offered was 26 LPA, and the average package is 9.7 LPA. The top recruiting company is Reliance Petroleum.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our college are up to the mark, which means we can say that our college has good infrastructure in front of anyone. There are many labs in the college for every department. There are more than 3 labs. There is Wi-Fi, but it is not very useful as the speed is very slow. The hostel quality is good, with 4 hostels on the campus, but there is a shortage of hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members are nice to us, but it varies with the teacher. Some of them are completely focused on their studies, and some of them also talk to us in class, sharing funny stories and their childhood experiences. The course is absolutely relevant. Semester exams were easier in the 1st semester, as I think my subjects were easier in the first semester.
Other: Guys, you can take admission here if you have enough rank in the JEE Main.

Not a tier 1 NIT but have solid Infrastructure.
Placements: My branch (Chemical Engg.) has 93% placement last year. The average package lies between 9 LPA and 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Reliance, Hindustan Petroleum, IOCL, etc. Around 60% of students in our seniors' class got internship opportunities last year.
Infrastructure: I will rate it 4 stars because the infrastructure is good. We have good Wi-Fi speed, and there are many modern labs with equipment. The hostel is good, but the drinking water is not that hygienic. We also have medical services in our college. The hostel food is acceptable; we can eat it.
Faculty: The Chemical Engineering department provides good infrastructure with nice labs and faculty members. The faculty members are highly qualified and supportive of us. Sometimes they also crack jokes in class, not just study. Our college not only provides theoretical knowledge. It also provides real-world applications.
Other: You should come here if you got chance.

The college has good faculty members with high knowledge.
Placements: In my Chemical Engineering Batch at NIT (National Institute of Technology) Raipur, there are 80 students in one batch. Our placement percentage is 90+. The highest salary offered was about 18-20 LPA, while the average was about 8-9 LPA. Some companies that visit us include Reliance Petroleum, BPCL, and HP.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure, with good Wi-Fi speed, labs, and a central library for self-studies and book issues. I will give it 3 stars because the classroom is okay, but the hostel facilities are below average. We also don't have a cricket ground on our campus to play cricket.
Faculty: I want to give it 4 stars because the faculty members in our department are highly knowledgeable and highly qualified. A few of them are from very big government institutes. They are helpful sometimes and sometimes not, and they follow traditional methods of teaching with their notes, etc. The semester exams are average. You can pass them before studying for 2 days.

The NIT Raipur Experience - Growth, opportunities, and memory.
Placements: I am currently in 3rd year of my B.Tech in chemical engineering. As I can see my seniors and super seniors' placement scenario, I can say approximately 90% of the students got placed in my branch. In recent year the highest package offered is 58 LPA to three of my seniors from CSE, IT, and ECE. But in my course 18 LPA was the highest package last year and the average package was 9.5 LPA. The recruiting companies from my branch are Vedanta, Reliance, and Adani Groups. Role offered is GET.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good enough but hostel is not sufficient for students. Wi-Fi, lab, and classrooms are average. Library capacity is too low. Hostel facility is for limited students but their food quality is very good. For medical facility, I can rate 4 out of 5. Sports and games are excellent in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive (except some of them), but in my branch (chemical) faculty members are too strict. But they are well qualified also from IITs and some of them possess teaching experience from other countries. They teach in a very short manner, which means you all need to study regularly to recape all those things, but getting just a pass is too easy. All that is relevant to industry teachers relate the study to the actual industry problem. Exams are easy, just 35% of the highest marks is the passing percentage, and relatively grading is there.
Other: Some information I would like to share. Many things will depend on your department, in my case my department is too strict, but faculty members are good and supportive (except some). Students should be encouraged to do invention and making projects and other things are fine. There is an attendance criteria of 75%, (not too strict). Events are very nice. There is a tech fest called technocracy. Cultural fest, eclectic, sports event, summer language event, Avahan, and many more events are organised by students and college. Campus life can be rated 4/5. The connectivity is rated as 5/5, and scholarships are provided by NSP, CGpostmatric, etc.

My experience in NIT. It is the best 2-tier college.
Placements: Data analyst and software-developed engineer roles are provided. In the chemical engineering field, students are offered with site engineer and junior engineer roles. Top core companies are ONGC, Asian Paints, Adani, etc. Tech top companies are TCS, Infosys, Despite, Microsoft, etc. 90% of students got placed last year.
Infrastructure: Not much infrastructure is there especially considering the national status of our college. A hostel is not available for every student. We have to arrange external accommodation on our own. I do not stay in the hostel so can't say about the quality of it.
Faculty: Faculty members are one of the worst. The curriculum also feels outdated by the years. Teachers are rude and egoistic. Hardly there is any time to study the immense exam schedules. Overall, there's very little time for gaining other skills like coding, programming, etc.
Other: Overall, placements are decent. If you are skilled enough, you will get a good job.

Overall, the institute is decent.
Placements: Job placements are very good in NIT RAIPUR. Almost 95% of students get on-campus placements here. The criteria for getting eligible for placements is having at least an 8 CGPA. Companies like Samsung, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, etc. The highest package offered last year was 55 Lacs per annum, and the average was around 12 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Here, college life is quite fascinating. Two fests are held here, one cultural fest named ECLECTIKA and the other tech fest named AVARTAN. On the campus, there is a sports complex with an area for every sport like basketball, badminton, football, cricket, etc. There are several clubs in the college, like a club for singing, dancing, drama, coding, and more. In NIT RAIPUR, the major problem is the hostel—some students don't get a hostel and have to live outside the campus.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are supportive and try to make everyone understand the topic without any language barriers, but some teachers come and teach whatever they want, not thinking about the students. Most of the teachers are well-qualified, and some are Ph.D. scholars. The semester exams are quite difficult, and to pass them, you have to score a minimum of 35%.

My experience at NIT Raipur.
Placements: The top roles offered were data analytics, data scientist, and software development engineer. The placement percentage was around 90% for my branch. Not a lot of people got internships in our college. The average placement was around 8 LPA, with 55 LPA the highest. This college provides good opportunities.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are just okay. Wi-Fi is available on campus. The library is one of the worst in any college, especially with really bad rules. Our library closes on Saturday and Sunday, and from Monday to Friday, it remains open until 8 PM only, making it useless for us students.
Faculty: Some faculty are really bad, and as for the curriculum, it feels like you're studying in a state college and not an institute of national importance. The frequency of exams is too high, and there is hardly enough time to learn any concept, especially with the really strict 75% rule.
Other: The crowd is really nice here. Our seniors are really good and supportive. They have been guiding us from almost day 1.

To get admissions in NITR, you should have got marks in range of 150-180 if you belong to general category. To get a better branch as per last year records available on JOSAA website. But since it is a new NIT. So, it might be possible that you get admission on little less marks than mention above.
