The NIT Raipur Experience - Growth, opportunities, and memory.
Placements: I am currently in 3rd year of my B.Tech in chemical engineering. As I can see my seniors and super seniors' placement scenario, I can say approximately 90% of the students got placed in my branch. In recent year the highest package offered is 58 LPA to three of my seniors from CSE, IT, and ECE. But in my course 18 LPA was the highest package last year and the average package was 9.5 LPA. The recruiting companies from my branch are Vedanta, Reliance, and Adani Groups. Role offered is GET.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good enough but hostel is not sufficient for students. Wi-Fi, lab, and classrooms are average. Library capacity is too low. Hostel facility is for limited students but their food quality is very good. For medical facility, I can rate 4 out of 5. Sports and games are excellent in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive (except some of them), but in my branch (chemical) faculty members are too strict. But they are well qualified also from IITs and some of them possess teaching experience from other countries. They teach in a very short manner, which means you all need to study regularly to recape all those things, but getting just a pass is too easy. All that is relevant to industry teachers relate the study to the actual industry problem. Exams are easy, just 35% of the highest marks is the passing percentage, and relatively grading is there.
Other: Some information I would like to share. Many things will depend on your department, in my case my department is too strict, but faculty members are good and supportive (except some). Students should be encouraged to do invention and making projects and other things are fine. There is an attendance criteria of 75%, (not too strict). Events are very nice. There is a tech fest called technocracy. Cultural fest, eclectic, sports event, summer language event, Avahan, and many more events are organised by students and college. Campus life can be rated 4/5. The connectivity is rated as 5/5, and scholarships are provided by NSP, CGpostmatric, etc.

My experience at NIT Raipur.
Placements: The top roles offered were data analytics, data scientist, and software development engineer. The placement percentage was around 90% for my branch. Not a lot of people got internships in our college. The average placement was around 8 LPA, with 55 LPA the highest. This college provides good opportunities.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are just okay. Wi-Fi is available on campus. The library is one of the worst in any college, especially with really bad rules. Our library closes on Saturday and Sunday, and from Monday to Friday, it remains open until 8 PM only, making it useless for us students.
Faculty: Some faculty are really bad, and as for the curriculum, it feels like you're studying in a state college and not an institute of national importance. The frequency of exams is too high, and there is hardly enough time to learn any concept, especially with the really strict 75% rule.
Other: The crowd is really nice here. Our seniors are really good and supportive. They have been guiding us from almost day 1.

Well-standard NIT college and excellent.
Placements: In our branch, our strength is 77. The highest package is 55 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 9.8 LPA. Top companies recruiting are Indian Oil, Reliance Petroleum, Nykaa, in the core field. The majority of our seniors got internships during their 3rd year, and a few 2nd-year students also got internships depending on their skills.
Infrastructure: The facilities available are 24/7 Wi-Fi, clean and neat classrooms, and a library. The quality of hostel mess and food is average. The hostel rooms are good, but the problem is only some students get hostels depending on their JEE rank. Medical and sports facilities are okay.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and highly experienced. The course curriculum is okay, but there are still some changes to be made in the curriculum. There are some courses that make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not that difficult, but we have to prepare from the start; no one-day batting.
Other: I chose Chemical Engineering because I am interested in Chemistry, and the other reason is I am not getting any good branch in other NITs. The events are good, and the campus life is not that good.

MY LIFE AT National Institute of Technology Raipur.
Placements: Placement percentage of the college last year was 75%, and it is pretty good after having more than 10 different engineering branches. Along with these, there are companies offering very good salaries around, and the average package is around 10 LPA, which is quite good, I guess.
Infrastructure: The college is situated at the center of the city and has got a good placement percentage. Apart from that, the coding environment and faculty members are good as well. We didn't have any GD or interview for this college, so overall we have a good placement record.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful. We have our own faculty advisor who will help us and guide us with everything and anything. For every 20 students, we have 1 faculty advisor. If you have any kind of problem regarding academics or personal matters, they are always ready to help you out in any situation.
Other: The course curriculum is well-designed so that anyone studying here won't face any type of challenges in real-life applications. Apart from all this, labs are well maintained with new equipment. Faculty members are really helpful, and we have our own faculty advisor who will help us and guide us with everything and anything.

My experience as a chemical engineering student in NIT RAIPUR .
Placements: Placement percentage of college last year was 75%, and it is pretty good after having more than 10 different engineering branches. Along with these, there are companies offering very good salaries, and the average package of college was 9-10 Lacs last year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is pretty average the building is very old and all the departments are situated in one building only. College provide limited seats for hostels, and the ground is not even maintained properly. We have 3 cafes and 1 canteen on our campus. I wasn't in a hostel but college provides hostel to some students only, as the college infrastructure is not that good. There are 4 hostel for 1st year and a single hostel for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students There is a mess availability for students, although the food is okay and can be eaten I personally don't like the food a lot. I live in a PG near college and there are a lot of PGs and hostels available near the college .
Faculty: The course curriculum is well designed so that anyone who's studying here won't face any type of challenge in real-life application. Apart from all this, the labs are well maintained with new equipment, and faculty members are really helpful. We have our own faculty advisory who will help us and guide us with everything and anything.
Other: The college is situated at the centre of the city and has a good placement percentage; apart from that, the coding environment and faculty members are good as well. We didn't have any GDs or interviews for this college. Life at campus is pretty cheery, although we have some language barriers between some South Indian students and some North Indian students, but still, everything is pretty peaceful. During the months of December and January, we have a lot of festivals, such as the Samar Sports Festival, Eclectika Central India, the largest festival, Aavartan, a science exhibition, and many more. Alongside, we have many clubs and committees, such as Shaurya, Technocracy, and Sanskriti. .

To get admissions in NITR, you should have got marks in range of 150-180 if you belong to general category. To get a better branch as per last year records available on JOSAA website. But since it is a new NIT. So, it might be possible that you get admission on little less marks than mention above.
