The college has decent placements and a good environment.

Placements: Almost 84% of students of my college got placed. The highest salary package offered is 75.75 LPA, and the average salary package offered in core branches ranges from 18-20 LPA. Most core branch students like civil, mechanical, and electrical, prefer non-core placements in IT companies.

Infrastructure: Our college has a very good infrastructure with various labs and machines. Sports facilities are also average. The quality of mess food is also okay. Classrooms are well-maintained with a projector and mics. Wi-Fi connection is average, like 10-12 Mbps. The personal network speed is bad here, and there is a network issue.

Faculty: Exams are not that hard if our preparation is decent. The course curriculum is decent. Teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. They have much experience in the subject. The pass percentage in exams is one third (1/3). It is divided, like 10, 20, and 50, for a total of 100 marks.

NIT Patna is a very nice college.

Placements: In the ME branch, around 60% of students got placed by Dec'24. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Amazon, Oracle, Samsung, Infosys, etc. The roles offered are data analyst and software developer. Many companies do not consider ME students for SDE posts, which is a big issue.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, and students are provided with E-library access. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus. The hostel is good. 1 hostel is for girls and 6 are for boys. Food quality is okay. Medical facilities are provided 24x7. There is very good infrastructure. It is near to Patna airport and Patna junction.

Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They all are PhD holders. The course curriculum is relevant to industry needs. Besides, one has to prepare oneself too. Each semester has 2 exams, the mid-semester and the end-semester exams. One needs to score at least 35% in order to pass the course.

Other: I chose this course because it lies within my rank. The best thing about my course is that it is an evergreen branch. I wish the course could be improved in the first year. Few events and fests are conducted, like Natvansh and Bollywood. Our campus is very small, covering 36 acres. The connectivity is good because the station is 4 kilometers away, and the airport is 10 kilometers away. It is a high-density city. Scholarships are available for students.

Good campus infrastructure and placement.

Placements: Placement in our course was approximately 80%. Students were placed. The highest package offered in our course was 42 LPA. The average package was around 8-10 LPA. The lowest package offered was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Larsen and Toubro, Reliance Construction, and DMRC.

Infrastructure: Libraries, labs, and classrooms are above average, benches are relatively older, and labs have some failed air conditioning. Hostel washrooms are hygienic but stinky. Hostel mess food is below average. These things are for H6 Hostel. Rooms are small too, and the canteen food feels common, which doesn't taste that good. Medical facilities, sports, and games are excellent.

Faculty: Teachers in the department are invaluable to students, but others, like the Physics department, do not seem well-qualified. Students have to prepare on their own using YouTube or other platforms. The course curriculum is very relevant, focusing only on courses that help with placements. There are two midterms and one end-of-semester exam each semester. Midterms are quite tough, but end-of-semester exams seem easier to students. Students can easily achieve an 8+ CGPA.
