What is COMEDK UGET Exam?

COMEDK UGET exam is a common entrance test held at the national level for admission to around 214 unaided private engineering colleges in Karnataka. COMEDK full form is the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka that conducts UGET. It is an autonomous body that is entrusted with the responsibility to organize UGET. The undergraduate entrance test (UGET) is a computer-based test for admission to BE/BTech courses. This test is open to all eligible students in the country. Seats in the colleges are allotted based on COMEDK UGET scores via an online counselling process.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will release the COMEDK UGET application form in February 2026. Interested applicants will be able to fill out the application form for COMEDK 2026 on the official website, comedk.org. Students must check the eligibility criteria before applying online. The application process of COMEDK UGET comprises registration, filling forms, uploading documents and payment of fees. Applicants must note that COMEDK application form is available online only. The steps to fill out the COMEDK UGET 2026 application form are given below.

How to Fill COMEDK UGET Application Form 2026?

Candidates can refer to the steps given below to apply for the COMEDK exam:

• Visit the COMEDK official website - comedk.org 2026.
• Fill in the details in the COMEDK UGET 2026 registration form.  
• Generate and validate OTP for the registered mobile number.  
• Click on register and complete the candidate registration.  
• Receive SMS & E-mail with User ID/App no and Password.  
• Log out and Login again using User ID & Password.  
• Click on 'Go to application'.  
• Select the exam that you are applying for.  
• Enter personal details.  
• Fill in category details.  
• Fill in academic details and upload documents in the prescribed format and size as mentioned in the information brochure.  
• Fill in the examination city preferences and select payment details.  
• Verify all details in the "Preview" Page.  
• Click on "Submit " and complete the payment.  
• Check the successful application status by logging in again.  
• Take a printout of the COMEDK application form 2026 (for your reference only).  

COMEDK UGET Application Form Correction Facility 2026

The authority will conduct the COMEDK UGET application form correction in online mode after the ompletion of the registration process.Those who make any mistake while filling out the application form can make corrections through COMEDK UGET correction facility. It must be noted that only certain details are allowed to be edited. Details like parent's name, email ID, mobile number and others cannot be allowed to be changed during COMEDK 2026 form correction. Candidates are advised to review all the details before submitting the form. The COMEDK form correction dates will be announced on the consortium's website.

The exam authority will release the COMEDK UGET 2026 eligibility criteria on the official website. Applicants must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. • The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E./B.Tech is the second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State/Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject. 
• The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one optional subject. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted. 
• An attempt in the COMEDK UGET Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list. 
• Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions. 

Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka will provide a list of COMDK 2026 exam centres through the official notification. Candidates who wish to take the exam must check the exam centres to mark their preferences while filling out the form. The authority will conduct the COMEDK exam in online mode at various centres across the country. The COMEDK UGET exam centres are allotted to candidates on a first come first serve basis. A candidate can choose and select 3 cities in order of preference at the time of applying for the exam from the available list of test cities in the online COMEDK application form.
