NID Entrance Exam 2021 Difficulty Level
As per Abhishek from St. Peter’s College, Agra, “The exam was easy. Everyone can attempt it easily. I found the drawing part of the exam a bit tough but overall, it was a standard paper, especially considering the current COVID-19 situation, wherein we were not preparing for the paper offline. The paper was made in such a way that one could complete their exam before time.”
According to Palak, “I found the paper to be moderate. The GAT section (objective section) was easy but a bit lengthy. One or two questions in the section were tough but rest were doable. Questions were majorly asked from Reasoning, English and GK. I was able to complete my exam on time.” Talking about the Drawing part of the exam, Palak continued, “There were two questions on story writing, some questions on comic strips, a question on composition, a question on poster making, etc.”
Aditya Sharma from DAV Public School, Faridabad shared, “I found Part-I (objective section) of the exam easier than Part-II. I took only half an hour to complete the objective section of the exam. I found Part-II time consuming and lengthy but I could complete my paper on time. This year, I did not find drawing questions very interesting.”
Shivangi, a student of Jaipuria School, Vasundara had views opposing to that of Aditya. She said, “I found the paper very interesting. I had a lot of fun in attempting the paper, especially the poster question in which we had to show the process of making tea. The story question was a bit odd for me, as we could not add elements to it. I was able to complete my paper before time.”
According to Anushka from Delhi Public School, “NID Entrance Exam 2021 was much better than expectations. In the Objective section, there were many Art- and music-based questions. In the Logical Reasoning section, the best part was that there were no questions related to Mathematics.” Talking about the subjective section of the exam, she said, “The Drawing part of the exam captured perspective drawing and the questions did not require the use of colours.”
NID Exam Pattern 2021 Vs Previous Year’s Paper
Majority of the students found the difficulty level of this year’s NID exam similar to that of previous year’s paper. As per Abhishek, “As compared to previous years’ papers, it was an easy exam.” According to Palak, “The format and the difficulty level of the paper was similar as compared to last year’s NID exam. It was easy.”
Revealing the slight change in the NID exam pattern, Shivangi said, “Last year there was 30 marks of GAT and 70 marks of CAT but this time it was 40 marks for GAT and 60 marks for CAT.” Anushka also pointed the same and said, “There was 40 and 60 marks division this year between objective and subjective sections. However, the format of the exam was same.”
NID Vs NIFT: Comparison on Difficulty Level
Many candidates who were appearing for the NID DAT exam had also appeared for NIFT Entrance Exam 2021. Shiksha talked to them to know which of the two papers was more difficult.
For Anushka, “The difficulty level of both NIFT Entrance Exam and NID Entrance Exam was equal. There was no Maths in NID exam so I found the GAT part of today’s paper a bit easier”. As per Palak, “I found NID exam trickier than the NIFT Entrance Exam 2021. Questions in NIFT exam were more direct as compared to today’s paper.” According to Shivangi, “NID Entrance Exam is more about depicting ideas and core design skills. NIFT Entrance Exam is all about decorating and presenting your answers well.”
