
The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) conducts online mock tests for the SEED Entrance Exam. For SEED 2026, the mock test will be conducted on January 07, 2026 for B.Des programme. SEED 2026 mock tests are intended to help candidates get insight into the difficulty level of the exam and learn time management.
Candidates may note that, unlike SEED 2026 sample papers, which one can solve very early on in one's exam preparation, mocks are meant to be taken closer to the exam. The purpose of SEED 2026 mock tests is to put the finishing touches on one's exam preparation. SEED Entrance Exam for B.Des will be conducted on January 11, 2025, between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Benefit of taking SEED 2026 Mock Test
Appearing for SEED mock tests is important, as a candidate will learn about his/her preparation level. You can benefit from a mock test only if you revise your preparation strategy according to the result.
While attempting the SEED 2026 mock test
- Ensure to appear in the online mock test being conducted by SID.
- Practice at least one SEED sample paper every day.
- Be wary of the time while attempting the mock test and sample paper. Candidates should fix a time to ensure efficient use of the total two and a half hours for the exam.
- After attempting the mock test, note down your weak and strong areas and work on them accordingly
- Analyze the important topics from which most questions are asked in the mock test.

The SEED 2026 application form was open till December 28, 2025 for B.Des. Applications had to be filled out online at SID official website - sid.edu.in. The detailed application schedule was released by the institute on its admission portal.
The application form of SEED 2026 will open in January 2026 for the M.Des program. The application form has to be submitted online at sid.edu.in (application link also given on this page).
As part of the application filling process, the candidate has to get registered, fill in the form, upload documents, and pay the application fee. The SID admission registration fee is Rs. 3250/- (Rs. 2250 for SEED & Rs. 1000 for SID)

Portfolio submission is the 2nd stage of the SEED 2026 admission process. Candidates who are shortlisted for the PRPI need to upload portfolio and PRPI task starting in the last week of March 2026.
The portfolio and PRPI upload link will be available on the SID website after the candidate has booked the Personal Interaction slots.
Candidates are not required to submit an elementary drawing exam certificate for the Admission Procedure at SID. The candidate merely needs to meet the academic, qualifting exam, and age criteria. Eligible candidate next needs to appear in the SEED 2026. Those qualifying in the exam will have to next appear in a PRPI round. The final results would be prepared by giving weightage to the SEED 2026 exam and the PRPI.
SEED Sample Papers
It is also equally important to solve sample papers along with mock tests. Attempting the SEED sample paper gives candidates exposure to all types of questions asked in the exam, which ultimately benefits the candidate during the exam. Apart from that, it provides candidates with a clear understanding of the SEED pattern and helps in identifying the important topics for the exam.
The candidate can start solving sample papers very early in their exam preparation. Meaning, if you haven't yet started solving sample papers, you must do it now. For instance, after completing a topic, you can solve the questions related to that topic.

Eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Des programme through SEED 2026 is given below.
There is no age limit for admission to the B.Des program
Candidate must have passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized board or 10+3 Diploma approved by the State Board of Technical Education.
Candidate needs to have secured a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) in the qualifying exam.
Candidate from any stream having completed or appeared for 10+2 can apply for any specialization in design at SID.
