
UCEED Mock Test 2026 - IIT Bombay will not conduct Mock Tests for the UCEED 2026 Entrance Exam for B.Des programme. If it decides to conduct any mock tests for UCEED 2026, they will be held a few days before the entrance exam. UCEED 2026 exam was conducted on January 18, 2026.
UCEED mock tests will help candidate get accustomed to UCEED 2026 question paper structure, navigation, marking, and answering process. Tho mocks will also help you eliminate silly errors and give finishing touches to your preparation.

How to take the UCEED Mock Test 2026?
IIT Bombay gave an option to candidates to practice for the exam by releasing UCEED Sample Exam Interface. The purpose of this interface was to provide a feel of examination interface. It was available for candidates to practice for exam. It was available at digialm.com/OnlineAssessment.
How to practice for UCEED Exam using sample Interface?
Yes, candidates can practice on UCEED exam interface.
- The interface is designed to run on a desktop browser. It may not work on tablets or other mobile devices.
- The login details are already filled in. To begin, click on the Sign In button and follow the instructions.
- On the sample interface, the candidate can check how to answer a question, how to go to the next question, how to mark a question for reviewing later, etc.
- To see Part-B of the sample/practice exam, the candidate must wait for 30 minutes.
- UCEED 2026 exam is expected to have two parts: 1) Part A, which will be 1 hour long, include objective-type questions, and will be conducted in computer-based mode; 2) Part B will be conducted offline and include a single sketching-based question.
- Mock test will be conducted entirely online.
- UCEED 2026 mock tests will contain the same types of questions as those asked in the actual exam.
- Mock test may contain fewer questions than those asked in the actual exam; for instance, Part A of UCEED 2026 will have around 57 questions, but the mock test may have 40 questions.
Process to take the UCEED Mock Test 2026
The following steps should be followed to take the UCEED 2026 Mock Tests.
- To take the test, click on the mock test link that is given on the UCEED admission portal.
- Upon logging in, the general guidelines for taking the mock tests will be displayed on the screen. Read the guidelines carefully.
- Accept the terms and conditions, and the test paper for Part A will appear on the screen.
- Part B test will be shown after you complete Part A.
- You can edit all your answer options using the answer tabs; however, if you submit the paper, you can’t make any changes.
- You can keep track of the test by consulting the timepieces that are displayed on the screen.
- Note that there will be different color palettes (shown on the right side of the screen) indicating the status of the question.
Commonly asked questions
The official mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few weeks before the UCEED 2026 exam. So, you shouldn’t typically take mock tests at the start or even middle of your UCEED 2026 exam preparation. The logic being mock tests are not designed to help you improve your problem-solving ability or your time-management skills. In fact, mock tests are meant to help you get a exam like ambience before the exam and understand what is like to be inside the exam centre.
That being said, mock tests designed by some coaching institutes are more comprehensive and might help you build problem-solving ability and time-management skills.
IIT Bombay usually doesn’t conduct any mock tests for the UCEED exam. So, the candidate may take mock tests conducted for other entrance exams to prepare for UCEED 2026 exam. The candidate can solve sample papers very early in their UCEED preparation. But the trend is to solve sample papers closer to the exam, say after completing the syllabus or some parts of it.

IIT Bombay will release the question paper for the UCEED 2026 exam tentatively in the 4th week of January 2026. IIT Bombay had released a notification on its official website notifying that the UCEED exam starting in 2024 will be conducted following a revised syllabus. As per the revised syllabus, there has also been some changes to the UCEED exam pattern. For instance, the Part B question paper will now include two questions - 1) one question will be on Drawing and 2) the other question will be on Design Aptitude. Note that previously, Part B included a solitary, drawing-based question. Also, the time duration for Part B has been increased to 60 minutes from 30 minutes.

Visual and spatial reasoning section of UCEED will include pictorial and diagrammatic questions that will evaluate candidates' understanding of the transformation and manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships. The candidate needs to practice the following topics to prepare for the section: Conventional/Unconventional Materials for Construction, Design, and Decoration Texture Making Materials, Production Materials, Decoration Materials - Flooring, Cladding (protective material which covers the surface of something), Wall Protection and Decoration - Paints, Plasters, etc. Pattern and Design of Paper Folding Materials and Type of Texture Optical Illusion (2D/3D objects and understanding).

Part A paper of UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted in a computer based mode. So, candidate must know the basics of computer handling to take the exam. Note that advanced knowledge of software and hardware is not needed to take the paper. Note that in the scenario, there is a technical issue during the exam, the candidate may approach the invigilator for assistance. The invigilator will then take remedial steps to fix the problem. If the problem persists, the candidate will be assigned a different computer terminal.
If IIT Bombay conducts any mock tests for UCEED 2026 exam, it will be hosted online at uceed.iitb.ac.in. So, to take mock tests, candidate will have to go to the UCEED - IIT Bombay admission portal and click on mock test link.
On clicking on the mock test link, a log-in window will open. It is likely that the log-in id will be prefilled. So, all you need to start the do is click on the log-in button to access the mock tests. After logging in, click on the “Start” tab to start the mock test.
The sample paper will contain similar types of questions to the ones asked in UCEED exam. So, by solving them, candidates will be able to develop problem-solving and time-management skills.
Another thing is previous years' questions papers help to understand the types of questions asked, marking scheme, difficulty level, etc.
IIT Bombay will notify about any mock tests for UCEED on its official website. Also, there is unlikely that the candidate will have any option to ask any queries during the mock test, provided the mock test is conducted at all. The candidate simply will be able to take the mock test by following the mock test given on the UCEED admission portal.
The mock test will include questions similar to the ones that will be included in the actual exam. So, by taking the mock tests, the candidate will be able to finetune their preparation for the UCEED exam.
Mock tests are useful only when you take them closer to the exam. They are also by no means an integral part of one’s exam preparation in the early stages.
