Q: Are you getting projects or assignments to work on from home? What is the number of online submissions required to take place?

A: There might be a case when the final examination doesn’t happen due to this pandemic disease, so college and administration are putting its effort to design different assignments for the students. So, for this, every student is given two assignments in each subject. Students have to attempt all the questions and the content should not be copied from anywhere, and if any student is found indulging in this type of activity then his exam for that subject will be canceled and he will be awarded zero in that particular subject.

Apart from this, the college is planning to take few examinations online which will be MCQ based and the test will be on auto-proctored mode means the webcam will be on during the test and student will not be allowed to switch between the tabs during the test so that exam can be conducted in a smooth and fair manner. For this, the college is doing partnerships with different online platforms so that these activities can be conducted.

Students have to appear for a personal interview via Skype at last where students need to answer the questions which are asked so that teacher can ensure that the student has utilized the holiday in an efficient manner and some marks will be allocated on that basis.

Q: How is the college making up for any lab/practical work? If at all?

A: All the teachers are working hard so that student can do their practicals and can understand things from a close point of view. For that, every teacher is recording their video while doing the practicals and giving proper notes so that each and every step can be made very clear to the student that what is to be done. After that, students have to perform different practicals which are possible at home and have to take the screenshot of successful completion of practical work and have to develop a report on that which needs to be submitted to the respective teacher for the evaluation.

Q: Anything else the college is doing in these times that is noteworthy that you would like to draw attention to?

A: For the proper utilization of this break, the college has implemented a lot of things. For example, our college has provided access to Coursera and they are providing courses for free to each and every student of LPU till July. Students can avail courses of their choice and can study them during this break to master the concept. Apart from this, several learning modules are being created related to aptitude and coding of different third-party platforms likes HitsbullEye, Examly, so that students can benefit during this lockdown period and can utilize this time full in learning new technologies.  Besides this college authorities are in regular touch with students and are taking great care of their students. They are asking for suggestions that can be implemented during this time for the betterment of the students.

At Lovely Professional University, you can take admission in BTech CSE through their own test called LPUNEST or based on your 12th marks.

JEE is not compulsory, but if you have a good JEE score, it can help you get admission and scholarship.
