IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech Admission 2020: The Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad, previously Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, extended the last date to submit the online application form for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech admission 2020 till April 30.

For admission to IIT Dhanbad MTech courses, candidates will need to fill the application form on the institute’s website and simultaneously apply through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) of GATE. It may be noted that candidates who are IIT graduates and the sponsored ones are also eligible to apply for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech admission.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech Admission 2020: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech admissions has three categories. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for all the three categories below:

For GATE qualified candidates

Candidates having valid GATE scores need to fulfill the following eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent from an institute recognized by UGC/ AICTE/ Government
  • Master’s degree from an institute recognized by UGC/ AICTE/ Government
  • Valid GATE score in the appropriate paper
  • Minimum 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6.0 in the qualifying degree for candidates under unreserved/ OBC categories
  • Minimum 55% marks or CGPA/ CPI of 5.5 in the qualifying degree for candidates under SC/ ST categories.

For IIT Graduates

Candidates who have completed their BTech from IITs with CGPA/CPI of 8.0 or above are eligible to apply for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech admission 2020 without a valid GATE score.

For Sponsored Candidates

A candidate working with any one of the following organizations is said to be a sponsored candidate:

  • Academic Institution
  • Public Service Undertaking (PSU)
  • Government R&D organisations
  • Government recognized R&D organisations

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech Admission Process

Candidates aspiring for MTech admission at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad have to follow the below process for admission to the course of their choice:

Step-1: Application Form: All aspirants need to fill and submit the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech application form 2020 which was available online.

Step-2: Registration with COAP: Candidates applying through GATE 2020 are required to register themselves at the COAP website.

Step-3: Selection of Programmes: While applying for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad MTech admission, candidates are needed to select the MTech programmes. They can select more than one and up to 10 M.Tech programmes as per their preferences.

Step-4: Fee Payment: Applicants will be required to pay the requisite application fee as per their category.
