These are first-hand student accounts on how our young population is managing to keep their exam prep or college course work going from the confines of their homes. In case you want to share your lockdown study experience, write to us at publish@shiksha.com.

Our college is closely monitoring the situation and is regularly updating the students with the current scenarios and helping us to be safe and also to complete our syllabus through interactions on call and on different platforms like LPULIVE, ZOOM, and SKYPE. College is very serious about this period and it is ensuring that students get the maximum benefit from this lockdown and this period should not affect their studies.

Q: How is your college tackling the current situation, ensuring that this does not adversely affect your studies?

A: To tackle this situation, our college is trying its way hard to help students so that they can complete their syllabus on time. For this regular online classes are being conducted according to the timetable which we follow for our class. Our college has developed an application called LPULIVE on which each student is connected from the administrator side and several groups are made according to the subjects and teachers are regularly uploading the study materials like ppt, pdf, recorded videos, etc., so that in this adverse time also students can be aware of their curriculum and can be well prepared before joining the college again and can give exams.

Our summer term break is also canceled and if the lockdown is lifted, then that time will be utilized for conduction of examination and other curriculum programs that were canceled due to this pandemic disease.

Q: Are there online classes being conducted? If yes, how effective are these? With what frequency are these held? Are they sufficient to cover the designated syllabus?

A: Yes, online classes are being conducted on the Zoom App and the presence of each student at the allocated time is compulsory. Teachers are taking online classes and explaining each concept so that students are aware of the syllabus. After that online session, each student must be present on LPULIVE application for the doubt clearing session in which he/she can discuss the problem which they are facing and also, daily practice papers are given to us and we have to solve that and have to send them to teachers on a regular basis because if the examination doesn’t happen then on the basis of assignments we will be getting marks. Students have to adhere to the timetable and have to be present in the online classes. Classes are being conducted regularly from 9-5 according to the timetable which we follow for our normal class. These classes are very effective because the teacher is teaching a small portion but in an efficient manner and all students are asked to clear their doubt if any. The full syllabus can’t be completed with these activities, a small amount will be left, so college is trying to do some changes in the syllabus and will leave the topics which are of less use.

Both SRM and LPU  are good universities, but as a student at LPU, I recommend it as a good option for students interested in a B.Tech in Computer Science. LPU  provides good exposure to internships, projects, hackathons, industry trainings and workshops.

The campus of LPU is too good. Many students f

Honestly, both SRM and LPU are decent private universities, but the “better” one really depends on what you want as a student. SRM has a slightly stronger brand in South India and is more competitive in terms of crowd and academics.

On the other hand, LPU gives a much bigger campus experience, divers

If you ask me honestly, for MBA I would personally prefer Lovely Professional University over Doon Business School because LPU offers a much larger campus ecosystem, stronger industry exposure, and wider placement opportunities. One thing that really helps MBA students at LPU is the diversity; you g

With a 9.82 CGPA in Class 10 and 78.55 percentile in JEE Main, you've already built a strong academic profile.

For B.Tech CSE, these scores show that you're a sincere and hardworking student. I would suggest that you also appear for LPUNEST, as it can provide additional opportunities for admission a
