Students' Speak: Check out these tips if you planning a last month preparation for JEE Mains
By: Shrikant Jha
Shrikant Jha discusses the tips and tricks that one can follow in the last month before JEE mains to achieve the best possible results.
If you are reading this article then there are three probabilities - either you are unprepared, averagely prepared or the real player in the game i.e. covered the whole syllabus along with sufficient practice. Don’t worry in any case you will benefit from this one. I gave this exam in 2015 and made mistakes. Today I will be sharing some dos and don’ts for your preparation.
Prerequisites
So, if you haven’t prepared anything yet then that’s the PUBG red zone, with minimal hope. If you are in mid you can still get that safe zone of crossing cut-off or even excel in the exam. Now, if you have been in good form of preparation then here this will be your bonus.
I am assuming that you already have your hand-written notes.
Note: Your full attention is required here. When it comes to JEE Main preparations, one month can shift your position from nothing to everything.
What does it take?
Here you will need to analyze in which category do you fall -
- Unprepared and partially prepared: Rigorous planned work is required as you majorly have three subjects. Extract only the most important topics and prepare them well.
-
- Physics: Clean up all theorems, derivations, and formulas. No need to leave any formula. Try to conceptually absorb all of them because if anything relevant would come in exam then you would be able to answer it.
- Chemistry: Again, pick up your NCERT short notes that you have prepared and study them well. Nothing other than your NCERT. No reference book is required.
- Mathematics: Be smart. Pick all the easy topics and learn them all as soon as possible. No need to forget any formulas from differentiation and integration. Revise formulas. Study NCERT examples and questions no need to leave anything.
- Prepared: You will have a bonus here as you have practiced well you need to focus well on systematic revision.
Correct Study Material (Books/Notes):
Well, all kinds of study material are fine as far as it is precise and bound to the latest syllabus. Best here is your handmade notes. Why?
- Short and Precise
- Easy to revise ( theory as well as numerical )
- You are the author so feel the notes and study them well.
What kind of notes? (Books/Reference materials/Coaching):
This could be your coaching notes, school notes or self-made notes. As far as they are relevant to your courses, it is fine. Be brave and study hard.
Revision Approach/Study Plan:
The prime focus of revision is to make sure that you would be able to produce that content which you have studied at the time of the exam. I do not need to explain how to do it. But still, try the I111 method or you can even customize it at your own will.
Self-evaluation (Mock papers/Sample papers):
Self-evaluation is seriously helping hands because they help in real analysis of your knowledge, the rectification of weak points and building up confidence. Sample papers, as well as previous year papers, are always recommended once you have covered your syllabus.
