Shiksha spoke to the UPSEE 2019 BTech aspirants after the exam got over. Most of the candidates shared that the exam was easy to score but a bit tricky to solve.

UPSEE 2019 – Exam Difficulty Level

Navrachna Kulsreshtha, BTech aspirant who gave UPSEE for the second time shared that the exam was very easy than last year, although it was really tricky to solve 150 questions in 3 hours and manage speed and accuracy altogether. He said, “I managed to solve more than 90% of the paper with 100% accuracy. Hoping for the best!”

One of the BTech aspirant Vidhi Yadav who took UPSEE for the first time shared that the paper was quite easy in comparison to JEE Main. Talking about the section wise difficulty level, questions in Chemistry gave a tough time. However, Mathematics and Physics were quite easy to score. Vidhi had also appeared for JEE Main in both January and April sessions. She scored 81 percentile in JEE Main January 2019 and the results for April are awaited.

Another UPSEE candidate Archana Dwivedi shared that she had a merry time solving questions in Physics and Chemistry. However, the number of questions she answered in Mathematics was on 100% guesswork. According to her, Mathematics is not her cup of tea but it is a part of the engineering curriculum so she had to push her boundaries to crack the exam.

Abhinav from St Joseph School, Greater Noids also shared a similar experience. According to him, the Mathematics section of UPSEE 2019 was really tough to crack in comparison to Physics and Chemistry. To be specific, Geometry questions actually gave him a tough time since they were really tricky.

Akhilesh, who also appeared for UPSEE 2019 for the second time shared that the paper was really easy and didn’t require much efforts. In contrary to the other test takers we spoke to, Akhilesh didn’t find the Mathematics section difficult. According to him, he will surely sail through exam with quality scores. He further added that most of the questions in Physics and Chemistry were repeated from the UPSEE 2018 question paper and the rest were surely not repeated but did have some similarities in the pattern.
