VITEEE 2017 Phase I Counselling Begins: 7200 seats on offer across 20 UG courses

VITEEE 2017 Phase I Counselling has commenced. Check details on Shiksha.

VITEEE 2017 Phase I Counselling commenced for admissions to approximately 7200 seats across 20 undergraduate programmes. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) declared their results for VITEEE 2017. And the counselling dates for VITEEE 2017 too were declared on the official website for students to check for the slots and admission details. Candidates with VITEEE 2017 AIR Rank 1-99999 are eligible to appear for the counselling to be held at various VIT Campuses including Vellore, Bhopal, Andhra Pradesh & Chennai.

VITEEE 2017 counselling has commenced from May 10 and will continue till May 22, 2017. It will be held in two different Phases-I & II.

Candidates between AIR 1-20000 are eligible to attend the Phase I counselling which will be held from May 10 till May 12, 2017. VITEEE 2017 Rank holders between 100000 -150000 are eligible to attend the counselling for admissions in VIT Bhopal campus only. The schedule for which is yet to be announced.

Candidates between AIR 20001-99999 are eligible to attend the Phase II counselling which will be conducted from May 15 till May 22, 2017. Check VITEEE 2017 important dates here.

VITEEE entrance exam is held every year for admission to B.Tech. programmes offered at various campuses of Vellore Institute of Technology. The application process for the VITEEE 2017 began in November 2016 and the last date for receipt of application forms was February 28, 2017.

Candidates will have to carry the following along with the counselling admit card, at the time of counselling.

Phase I Counselling

A Demand draft of Rs. 50,000 in favor of VIT University – Vellore.

For Phase II Counselling

The DD payable in favor of VIT University-Vellore ;

For Group A candidates: Rs. 2,00,000/-

For Group B candidates: Rs. 3,00,000/-

The counselling admit card which can be downloaded from the VIT official website by submitting the candidate’s application no. and date of birth.

The balance fee has to be paid as on or before June 12, 2017. It will be accepted either through DD or online bank transfer. Payment details will be made available on the official website after May 22, once the counselling ends.

The candidates interested in Hostel accommodation are required to submit a separate DD of Rs. 21,200 which includes the Hostel fee of Rs. 20,000 + Non Refundable Processing fee of Rs. 1,200.

NOTE: No applications for the extension of last date of payment will be entertained. Candidates are requested to make the payment on the due dates, failing which their candidature is subjected to cancellation.

VIT Chennai does not follow any category-wise seat reservation policy. Admission to the BTech programme in VIT Chennai is based on merit list that is prepared on the basis of the ranks obtained by the candidates in the VITEEE exam.
