Students are demanding exam rescheduling as its dates clashes with various Board exams including CBSE Class 12, ISC Board exams and WBCHSE.

Aspirants of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, WEBJEE, have taken to social media demanding to reschedule the exam as it clashes with Board exams. The students are demanding an exam to be conducted in the last week of May.

The WBJEE 2022 is scheduled to be held on April 30. The state-level engineering entrance test has already been postponed twice as first it was announced to be held on April 14, which was later changed to April 23. It was again rescheduled to April 30.

The aspirants have taken to Twitter and other social media platforms and appealed to the state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to reschedule to exam to May as its dates clashes with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Board exams and ISC Board exams.

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam date for session 2. JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam will be held from April 2, 2026, to April 9, 2026. JEE Main 2026 session 2 registration will start in the last week of January 2026. The JEE Main Application Form 2026 session 2 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted from Jan 21, 2026, to Jan 30, 2026

NTA releases JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam city intimation slip in March. JEE Main Session 2 City Intimation Slip 2025 is available for download on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. To download the JEE Mains exam city intimation slip, candidates need to login on the website using their application number and date of birth. The exam city slip will have details of city in which the test centre of candidate is located and the date of exam. The JEE Mains exam city slip 2025 session 1 was released on January 10. 

Q:   Where can I check JEE Main 2026 exam date?

Candidates can check the JEE Main 2026 exam date allotted to them on their city intimation slip and JEE Main admit card. Candidates have to download the city intimation slip and admit card from the official website as per the schedule

Parents and students are demanding to postpone the WBJEE 2022 and many of the WBJEE 2022 aspirants have raised the issue that the exam has come forward compared to the previous year and there is no extra attempt.

The students have stated that as the exam finishes counselling will take place and they will have to enrol themselves on their respective colleges. “But in JEE MAINS which is in the month of June and July, if we score good marks there will be a mess while taking admissions and also wastage of money. And if the exam gets delayed we will also have days to prepare ourselves better than now,” mention students in their letter.

As all the colleges in WB accept admission through WBJEE, students are of the view that they need to give this exam properly and that's why they want more time to prepare.

“We are not asking for extra attempts but at least if the exam gets postponed we will have days to prove ourselves also WBJEE clash with the ISC exam, WBCHSE Students get 3 days gap between WB boards and WBJEE,” states the letter.

Q:   What was JEE Main 2025 exam date session 1?
A:

The first session exam was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, 2025 (Paper 1), and January 30, 2025 (Paper 2). The second session of JEE Mains was held from April 1 to 8, 2025. The JEE Main 2025 exam date for sessions 1 and 2 can be checked on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.  

Q:   Where can I check the WBJEE 2025 dates?
A:

The authorities have released the WBJEE 2025 exam date online at wbjeeb.nic.in. The details regarding the timeline of important events i.e, application, correction facility, admit card and examination are released through the WBJEE exam dates 2025. All candidates are advised to check and stay updated with the WBJEE dates so that they do not miss out any important events. WBJEE 2025 result and counselling dates will be announced soon.

Q:   When will WBJEE 2025 be held?
A:

WBJEE took place in April 27, 2025. WBJEE test has a duration of 4 hrs where, the students have to attempt 2 papers with 1 paper having ques from Maths only while the 2nd paper has ques from both Physics & Chemistry. 

The students are demanding the exam be postponed to May. The letter reads: “It's our humble request to authorities to peek over Students issue and Conduct WBJEE 2022 in last week of May, postponing WBJEE to May should make Students more comfortable in giving the paper.”
