MET 2026 Counselling: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has announced MET 2026 Round 3 seat allotment result. Candidates can now check their MET 2026 seat allotment online at counseling.manipal.edu. To log in, they will have to use their MAHE application number and password. Seats will be allotted according to their obtained MET rank, preferences and seat availability. Allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission before final date.

MET 2026 counselling process is held online. During counselling, candidates have to log in and select their course and campuses in order of preference. They will have to pay MET counselling fee 2026 through credit card, debit card or net banking. MET 2026 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Students should check official eligibility criteria before MET 2026 counselling registration. If they do not meet eligibility, they will not be considered for admission.

  • Candidate should have a valid MET rank.
  • Candidate should have passed in 10+2 / A-Level / International Baccalaureate (IB)/American High School Diploma or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidate should have a minimum aggregate of 50 % in Physics, Mathematics and one of the optional subjects put together. In each of these subjects, candidates should have scored at least the minimum pass marks prescribed by the board.
  • Candidates who have appeared for 10+2 / A Level / IB / American High School Diploma or Equivalent board examination or are awaiting their results are also eligible for the counselling, provided they fulfil the above criteria.

Q:   If both MET exam sessions are attempted, which score will be considered for admission?
A: 

If students attempt both MET exam sessions, then best score out of two will be considered for admission. Students are eligible to attempt one or both sessions of examination. If needed, a third session may also be conducted.

Q:   What is the 12th standard marks required to be eligible for MET?
A: 

As per MET eligibility criteria, students should have atleast 50 percent marks in 12th class examination. Students should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and one optional subject. For admission, 50% weightage will be given to 12th marks.

Q:   Are other exam scores considered for MET admissions?
A: 

The authorities do not consider any other exam score for MET admissions. All students will have to attempt and qualify the MET exam to be eligible for admission into the participating campuses. However, the basic 12th standard qualifying exam mark eligibility has to be met.

MET 2026 Counselling Process

MET 2026 counselling process is being conducted online. Candidates who have qualified the entrance exam and meet the required eligibility will be able to register for MET counselling 2026. No offline mode of counselling will be held. To be registered for counselling, candidates can check the steps given below.

  • Go to official website counseling.manipal.edu
  • Candidates will have to log in using their application form number and password.
  • If needed, the candidate profile has to be updated.
  • Candidates will have to pay the MET 2026 application fee. Required fee can be paid through net banking, credit card or debit card. For allotted candidates, the authorities will later adjust the counselling fee with their tuition fee.
  • Next, they will have to select their choice of courses and campuses according to preference. 
  • MET seat allotment will be announced online. Candidates will have to log in using required details to check their allotment.
  • Allotment of seats will be done based on rank, preferences and seat availability.
  • All admissions must be confirmed before last date. If admission is not confirmed by verifying documents and paying tuition fee, then the allotted seat will be cancelled.

Documents required for verification during MET 2026 counselling

The selected candidates will be required to present the listed documents in original and photocopies at their allotted campuses for verification.

  • Printout of filled-in Common Registration Form downloaded from Counselling portal
  • MET 2026 Hall Ticket
  • Class 10th Standard marks card (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12th Standard marks card issued by the recognised board
  • Parent/Guardian's PAN Card
  • 2 recent passport-size photographs
  • Authorization Letter (if the representative is attending on behalf of the candidate)
  • Copy of Overseas Citizen of India/ Person of Indian Origin Card (if applied under OCI/PIO category)

Note: In case the candidates are unable to bring the original eligibility document, they can produce the internet copy of the marks card, duly attested by the college principal. Qualification obtained from Boards established by (i) A Gazette Notification of the Central/State Government, (ii) An Act of the Central/State Government, (iii) Executive orders issued by the Central/State Government will only be considered.

For confirmation of admission, candidates will be required to pay the tuition fee. The counselling fee will be adjusted with tuition fee. It is to be noted that candidates will be able to pay MET tuition fee in two instalments. Failure to pay fee before the final date will result in the cancellation of admission.

120 in MET is a good score, as it will give candidates higher chances of admission into core courses in participating campuses. This score has less chance of securing admission in CSE.
