CGCUET at CGC Mohali is a Scholarship test for higher education. Candidates who are seeking for financial assistance to pursue higher education in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Computer Application, Jorunalism or Science courses must appear for the exam. The scholarship is provided for the UnderGraduate programmes only. The CGCUET Scholarship is distributed based on the points obtained in the exam.

Q:   Why is CGCUET exam conducted?
A: 

The CGCUET exam is a Scholarship Test for admisison to CGC Jhanjeri. This exam is conducted for candidates interested in fields such as Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Computer Application, Journalism, and Sciences. 

Q:   How many times is CGCUET conducted in a year?
A: 

CGCUET is conducted twice in a year. The first stage of CGCUET is conducted from December to May and the second stage of CGCUET is held from June till August end. Candidates registered for CGC Josh must schedule the exam within the 15 days from the date of registration. Candidates will not be permitted to re-schedule the exam after 15 days.

Q:   When can I register for CGCUET Exam?
A: 

CUCET registration 2026 is ongoing for phase 1. Candidates can apply for phase 1 of CUCET 2026 till May 01. Candidates can fill the CGCUET application form 2026 in online mode only. Candidates must make sure to fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria to get scholarship.

Q:   Is there negative marking in CGCUET?
A: 

No, there is no negative marking in CGCUET exam. As per CGCUET marking pattern:

  • Candidate will get two marks for every correct answer.
  • No marks will be given for wrong answer.

CGCUET exam will include 50 questions, 25 questions in Part A and 25 queestions in Part B. The total marks for CGCUET exam is 100 marks.

Q:   What is the validity of CGCUET registration?
A: 

Once candidate register for CGCUET, the registration will be valid for 15 days or until final date to take exam. Applicant must complete exam. This rule applies to both stages of the exam. Students may reschedule their exam date only within 15-day CGCUET registration period. A second chance to take the exam will only be provided if a student misses their scheduled exam on the first attempt.

Q:   What is CGCUET registration fee?
A: 

The CGCUET application fee is INR 500. Candidates can pay the CGCUET registration fee in online mode only. No fee waiver will be applicable on CGCUET applicaton form. Candidates will be able to pay the application fee through any of the paymet methods:

If candidate has forgotten CGCUET login password they can easily reset it by:
