RRB NTPC application status is released few days after the declaration of the result. Candidates can check your application status of RRB NTPC with the direct link from the RRB Zone candidates have applied for. To check your status candidates need their Registration Number and Date of Birth. On this portal candidates can check whether their application form has been accepted or rejected. Only those candidates will be issued RRB NTPC admit card whose application forms were accepted.

Q:   How to select the posts in RRB NTPC application form?
A: 

If the candidate is eligible for more than one post based on his/her educational qualification and other details, they should set the priority for the posts. The list of posts (in the chosen RRB) for which a candidate is eligible is displayed. Similarly, if the
chosen RRB has vacancies for more than one Railway/Production Unit, then vacancies for all such Railways/Production Units for which a candidate is eligible, will be listed out. The candidate should fill their priority/preferences number in the textbox against each post that they are eligible for, in the RRB they are applying to.

How to Fill RRB NTPC Application Form 2025?

RRB NTPC notification 2025 was released in PDF form. A total of 11558 RRB NTPC vacancies 2025 will be filled through this recruitment exam. Candidates need to fill the application form online only. According to RRB NTPC eligibility, the age limit prescribed for graduate posts is 18 to 36 years. The age limit for undergraduate posts is 18 to 30 years. As per RRB NTPC educational qualification, candidates applying for undergraduate posts should have passed Class 12, while those applying for graduate-level posts should have a graduation degree from a recognised university. The steps to fill the application form of RRB NTPC are given below:

  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ link
  • Select the RRB to which you wish to apply for RRB NTPC recruitment
  • RRB once selected cannot be changed after the preliminary registration is completed and registration number is allotted
  • Confirm that you have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the check box

Registration Details

Enter your name, Date of Birth and Father‘s name, Mother‘s Name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric Roll Number, Year of Passing, Mobile Number and email-ID and then submit for registration. Before submitting for registration, ensure and confirm that all the information given in the application form is correct. The email and mobile number will be verified during the Online Application process with a One Time Password (OTP).

Verification of Email ID and Mobile Number through OTP

On submitting the primary details, OTPs will be sent to the registered mobile number and email. Candidates can retrieve the OTPs from email ID and mobile number. They need to enter OTPs to proceed with the filling up of the application and to make payment through OTP activation link.

Generation of Registration Number

On successful OTP activation, the registration number will be generated. This will also be sent on the registered email ID and mobile number of candidates.

Filling Online Application Form

  • Candidates can proceed with the online application form by clicking the ‘Candidate Login’ button on the home page by using the registration number and password
  • In Part I of the application page, enter Educational Qualification, Community, Gender, Religion, Ex-SM, PwBD, Minority, Economically Backward Class and Age Relaxation eligibility category and other details

Payment and Bank Account Details

On completion of the above application details, candidates will be redirected to the payment page. They need to choose the payment mode. Fee payment can be done through online and offline modes.

  • In Part II, candidates have to indicate their priority/preference of the posts
  • Candidates need to indicate options for scribe if they are PwBD candidates and eligible for scribe

Bank Account Details for Fee Refund

The application fee is refunded to candidates if they appear in the first stage of CBT. Candidates need to confirm their account to receive the refund of fees.

  • Candidates are automatically directed to the photo and signature upload part of the application
  • The size of the photograph should be 35mm x 45mm or 320 x 240 pixels
  • The photograph should be in JPG/JPEG format
  • The size of the photograph should be between 30-70KB.
  • The dimension of the signature should be 50 mm x 20 mm or 140 x 60 pixels
  • Size of the file should between 30KB-70KB

SC/ST Certificate Upload

Candidates belonging to SC/ST community who opts to avail Free Rail Travel are required to upload a scanned copy of SC/ST certificates.

Submission of RRB NTPC Application

At the end of the application, candidates need to agree to the declaration and submit the application form.

After submission of the application, candidates may save the file as PDF and take printout of the application and preserve it for the record.

Q:   My RRB NTPC application form has been rejected due to invalid photograph. What should I do?
A: 

RRBs reject the RRB NTPC application form if the photographs of candidates are not valid. The photograph should be in JPEG format and the size of photograph should be between 30-70KB. Candidates are advised to upload their photographs correctly to avoid rejection in the application form. The photograph should be uploaded as per the specifications prescribed by the examination authority. The reasons for rejection of RRB NTPC application are given below:

  • Invalid photos on account of Black and White photo, photo with cap or wearing Goggles. Photos which are disfigured, small size, full body, showing only one side view of the face, unrecognizable photos, photostatcopy of photo, group photo,
    selfie photo, photo taken by mobile, morphed photo and online application without photo among others.
    Signature in capital/block letters
  • Not possessing the prescribed qualification for the post(s) as on the closing date of registration
  • Over-aged or under-aged or Date of Birth wrongly filled
  • Multiple applications to different RRBs or to same RRB. In such case, all applications will be rejected and such candidates will be debarred from future RRB/RRC exams
  • Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB/RRC
  • Incomplete or incorrectly filled application
  • Any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB
Q:   What details do I need to enter in the RRB NTPC application form?

In RRB NTPC registration form, candidates need to enter their name, date of birth, father's name, mother's name, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric roll number, year of passing, mobile number and email-ID. After the final submission of the online application form, in case candidates wish to make minor changes, could do so by paying INR 100. The correction of data other RRB, email, and mobile number could be done. In case of changes in SC/ST to UR or OBC, candidates had to pay INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. In case, candidates are changing their category from Ex-SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to UR/OBC (NCL)/Non-Ex-SM/Non-PwBD/Male, etc. had to pay INR 250 in addition to the modification fee.

What is the process of RRB NTPC Fee Refund?

Candidates receive a refund of their application fees on their respective bank accounts. Candidates are required to provide details of registration number, roll number, name, father’s name, community, Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, date of CBT, bank account holder’s name, bank account number, bank IFSC code, and bank name. 

The fee refund process is initiated after the verification of candidates’ details as per the records with RRBs. No refund is provided to candidates if they cannot submit the bank account details. Only one refund per bank account is allowed. The steps to update the bank account details to get the refund of RRB NTPC application fees are given below.

  • Visit the respective official websites of RRBs
  • Click the link 'Update/Correction of Bank Account Details'
  • Enter roll number, DOB, OTP, and captcha code
  • Submitting the details, the page to update the bank account details appears on the screen
  • Provide details of registration number, roll number, name, father’s name, community, Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, date of CBT, bank account holder’s name, bank account number, bank IFSC code, and bank name.

Q:   What are the steps to modify RRB NTPC application form?

RRBs provide candidates with the facility to modify RRB NTPC application form. Candidates can modify the details entered in the application form online by paying the required modification fees. The process how candidates can modify the details entered in the application form are given below:

  • Login using Registration Number and Password
  • Pay modification fee through any of the modes available for actual examination fee payment. Ensure payment is done well within the date and time prescribed
  • Click on the Modify Application‘ Button
  • Proceed with the changes intended as per instructions given and submit the application. Preserve the print out of the latest application for record
Q:   Is there any provision to modify RRB NTPC application form?
A: 
After final submission of RRB NTPC application form, in case candidates wish to make minor changes in the application form other than RRB email and mobile number, can do so by paying the modification fee of INR 100. The modification fee is applicable to all candidates including fee concession categories and this fee is not refunded for any category. In case, candidates wish to change their communities (from SC/ST to your/OBC), they need to pay the difference in examination fee I. e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. RRB NTPC Fee Refund

Candidates who appear in the first stage of CBT are eligible for a refund of application fees. Candidates belonging to the General/EWS/OBC categories receive a partial refund of their examination fees, which is INR 400 after deducting the bank charges. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ExSM/PwBD/Female/ Minority/EBC/Transgender categories receive the full refund of application fees, which is INR 250. All candidates who will confirm to receive their refund to the account from which they have made the application fee payment are required to fill the bank account details. Candidates who do not wish to receive the refund in the account are required to provide the details of the Beneficiary Account in which they wish to receive the refund, such as Beneficiary Name, Account Number, Name of Bank, and IFSC Code in the Online Application.
