RRB NTPC 2025 Notification OUT for 11558 Vacancies: Link to Download Official Notification PDF

RRB NTPC notification is released to select candidates for Non-Technical Popular Category posts. The posts allotted after selection are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master.

The age limit for undergraduate posts is between 18 and 30 years whereas the age limit for graduate posts is between 18 to 33 years. The relaxation in the age limit is provided to the candidates belonging to unreserved categories. RRB NTPC educational qualification for graduate-level posts is graduation. Whereas, candidates applying for undergraduate posts should have passed Class 12.

RRB NTPC application form is released online. The application fee can be paid online and offline. The application fee for all candidates except the fee concession categories is INR 500 whereas it is INR 250 for PwBD/Female/Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class.

Applicants must possess a Gazette Notification or relevant legal documentation for name changes and be prepared to present it upon request during the recruitment process. The same should be submitted at the time of DV. Applicants should also have to fill the original name and the changed name during ‘Create an Account’. In such cases, both the names will be reflected in the application

RRB NTPC age limit for candidates applying for the undergraduate level posts should be 18 to 33 years. The age limit for graduate-level posts is 18 to 36 years. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories are given relaxation in the age limit as per government rule. Candidates must check the RRB NTPC age limit before applying for the exam inorder to ensure whether they are eligible or not. RRB NTPC age limit for graduate and undergraduate posts is given below.

The age limit prescribed for Graduate level posts has been revised. The revised age limit is 18 to 36 years. Earlier, it was 18 to 33 years.

RRB NTPC exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for various non-technical level posts in Indian Railways. The educational qualification is prescribed by RRBs for undergraduate and graduate posts. The educational qualification for undergraduate posts is that candidates must have Class 12 from any recognised board. The educational qualification prescribed for graduate posts is that candidates must have passed graduation from a recognised university. Candidates must adhere to the educational qualification prescribed for the exam or else their candidature will be cancelled.

The undergraduate posts are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, and Trains Clerk. RRB NTPC salary structure for undergraduate posts is given below. Junior Clerk cum Typist- INR 19,900 Accounts Clerk cum Typist-INR 19,900 Junior Time Keeper-INR 19,900 Trains Clerk-INR 19,900 Commercial cum Ticket Clerk-INR 21,700.

Traffic Assistant	Responsible for traffic and signal. Candidates need to work in different shifts.
Goods Guard	Monitor the functioning of the vehicle, check the loose ends in the train, identify and address minor issues while the train is moving, ensure brake continuity, coordinate with the Station Master in terms of communicating information regarding arrival and departure of trains.
Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk	Work in ticket booking offices, commercial checking and issuing tickets, booking luggage and goods.
Senior Clerk cum Typist	Responsible for clerical works and supervising Junior Clerks.
Junior Account Assistant cum Typist	Maintaining accounting records, tracking transactions, expenditures, claim settlements,  making account-related reports,  compiling budgets as per rules checking financial irregularities and supporting the administrative related tasks in the accounts department.
Senior Time Keeper	Working in sync with the entire railway network and keeping records of time regarding movements of trains.
Commercial Apprentice	Supervise in various commercial branches.

RRB NTPC salary is different for different posts. The starting basic salary for undergraduate posts ranges between INR 19,900 to 21,700. RRB NTPC salary for graduate posts ranges between INR 25,500 to 35,400. RRB NTPC salary for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk is INR 21,700. RRB NTPC salary for Junior Clerk cum Typist is INR 19,900. RRB NTPC salary for Station Master is INR 35,400. The salary offered to the Commercial Apprentice through RRB NTPC exam is INR 35,400.

The first stage CBT of RRB NTPC comprises questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The test paper carries a total of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The first stage CBT is qualifying in nature. The test carries 100 marks. The exam is held for 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates accompanied by scribe). The structure of RRB NTPC exam pattern for CBT 1 is given below.

The instructions related to RRB NTPC Typing Test are given below:

• The candidates are required to type at least 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi
• The candidates will have to type in English or Hindi, as per option exercised by them on RRB websites. English will be the Typing Language for those who have not exercised their option Candidates who have opted Hindi for Typing Test must be familiar with the usage of Krutidev or Mangal font
• The exam session consists of three parts as Typing practice for one minute to warm up & familiarize with key board,  Break of 30 seconds and Typing Test for 10 minutes which will be taken for evaluation
• As the skill test is to determine the speed, candidates who have completed the passage can retype passage from the beginning within the duration of test i.e. 10 minutes. Candidates who do not type the whole passage at least once in 10 minutes will be treated as disqualified. The transcripts of those candidates who do not type 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi within the prescribed time will not be evaluated
• The evaluation of the passage typed by the candidate will be done as follows:
• The mistakes will be classified as full mistakes and half mistakes. 5 per cent mistakes of the total words typed may be ignored. Accordingly, the total number of mistakes will be calculated as under:

1. No. of full mistakes + No. of half mistakes/2 = Total Mistakes
2. Number of mistakes – 5 per cent of total number of words typed = Final count of mistakes

• The typing speed of the candidate will be worked out by the following formula:
• Typing Speed= No. of total words typed – (Final count of mistake x 10)/Time 
• For example: If a candidate types a total number of 400 words in 10 minutes and commits 10 final count of mistakes, his speed would be worked out as follows:

1. 400- (10x10)/10= 300/10 = 30 w.p.m

• The minimum speed should be 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi

RRB NTPC syllabus for CBT 1 and 2 is more or less same. The CBT 1 and 2 comprises the same subjects. However, there is a difference in the difficulty level of the exam. The subjects included in the CBT 1 and 2 exams are General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
