
RRB NTPC Notification 2025: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) released RRB NTPC notification for Graduate posts. RRB NTPC Undergraduate notification will be released on October 28, 2025. The last date to submit the application form for Graduate Posts is November 20, 2025. The last date to fill the application form for Undergraduate posts is November 27, 2025. A total of 8875 vacancies were announced.
RRB NTPC CBT 1 Admit Card for graduate posts was issued from June 1, 2025. The admit card is released on the region-wise official websites of RRBs. To download the admit card, candidates are required to enter user ID and password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Prior to the release of admit card, the city intimation slip is released. RRB NTPC admit card is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam. RRB NTPC admit card comprises details such as the candidate's name, roll number, registration number, date of birth, login ID, password, exam day guidelines, scanned photograph and signature, etc. Candidates are advised to retain their admit cards till the completion of the recruitment process.

RRB NTPC Notification 2025: Application Process
RRB NTPC application form is made available online by the RRBs. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. The application fee for all candidates except the fee concession categories is INR 500 whereas it is INR 250 for PwBD/Female/Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class. The application fee is refunded to candidates after they appear for the CBT exam. The fee structure is given below.

Stages of RRB NTPC Selection Process
The recruitment comprises first-stage CBT, second-stage CBT and skill tests as per posts. The post-wise recruitment stages are given below:
First stage CBT, second stage CBT & Computer-based Aptitude Test is conducted for the posts of Station Master and Traffic Assistant. Subsequently, there will be document verification and medical examination.
First stage CBT, Second stage CBT and Typing Skill Test are conducted for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper. Candidates need to appear for document verification and medical examination.
For Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, two-stage CBT is conducted, followed by document verification and medical examination.

In RRB NTPC registration form, candidates need to enter their name, date of birth, father's name, mother's name, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric roll number, year of passing, mobile number and email-ID. RRBs reject the RRB NTPC application form if the photographs of candidates are not valid. The photograph should be in JPEG format and the size of photograph should be between 30-70KB. The stage-wise RRB NTPC exam pattern is given below:
RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for First stage CBT
The first stage CBT is qualifying in nature. The exam comprises 100 objective-type questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. 1/3 marks are deducted for incorrect answers.
RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Second stage CBT
The second stage CBT comprises 120 objective-type questions from General Questions Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. There is negative marking, 1/3 marks are deducted for incorrect answers.
RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
In this test, candidates are given different test batteries consisting of five-six tests as per the posts. There is no negative marking in this test.
RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Typing Skill Test
This stage is qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Computer.

The instructions related to RRB NTPC Typing Test are given below:
- The candidates are required to type at least 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi
- The candidates will have to type in English or Hindi, as per option exercised by them on RRB websites. English will be the Typing Language for those who have not exercised their option Candidates who have opted Hindi for Typing Test must be familiar with the usage of Krutidev or Mangal font
- The exam session consists of three parts as Typing practice for one minute to warm up & familiarize with key board, Break of 30 seconds and Typing Test for 10 minutes which will be taken for evaluation
- As the skill test is to determine the speed, candidates who have completed the passage can retype passage from the beginning within the duration of test i.e. 10 minutes. Candidates who do not type the whole passage at least once in 10 minutes will be treated as disqualified. The transcripts of those candidates who do not type 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi within the prescribed time will not be evaluated
- The evaluation of the passage typed by the candidate will be done as follows:
- The mistakes will be classified as full mistakes and half mistakes. 5 per cent mistakes of the total words typed may be ignored. Accordingly, the total number of mistakes will be calculated as under:
- No. of full mistakes + No. of half mistakes/2 = Total Mistakes
- Number of mistakes – 5 per cent of total number of words typed = Final count of mistakes
- The typing speed of the candidate will be worked out by the following formula:
- Typing Speed= No. of total words typed – (Final count of mistake x 10)/Time
- For example: If a candidate types a total number of 400 words in 10 minutes and commits 10 final count of mistakes, his speed would be worked out as follows:
- 400- (10x10)/10= 300/10 = 30 w.p.m
- The minimum speed should be 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi
