SSC JE Cut-Off 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will announce the SSC JE 2025 Tier 1 cutoff on the official website along with the result. The authority will publish the SSC JE cut-off along with the release of the SSC JE result for Tier 1. The cut-off for the Civil Engineering and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering branches are different. The candidates securing the SSC JE cut-off marks will be considered qualified for the SSC JE exam 2025. The SSC JE cut-off will be released category-wise in PDF format. 

Cutoff can be defined as the minimum marks required by a candidate to score to qualify for the next stage of the examination. It is decided based on the number of candidates who appeared in the examination, the difficulty level, and the vacancies announced.

Candidates can check the SSC JE cut-off 2025 by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the Result tab

Step 3: From the list of exam names on the screen, select the 'JE' tab

Step 3: SSC JE cutoff list will be displayed on the screen

No, the result for the Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer (SSC JE) varies as per the categories (UR/SC/ST/EXS/PwD/EWS) of the candidates. The Commission prepares the separate list for each category and the result is based on the cut off prepared for that category. The candidates are selected from their category list according to their performance, as the Commissions distributes the number of vacancies according to the categories. However, the candidates who secure more than or equal marks to the Unreserved categories are selected under the unreserved vacancies category. Yes, it is mandatory to appear for both paper 1 and 2 of SSC JE exam. Both the papers are compulsary for the SSC JE exam as the Paper 1 is conducted to shortlist the candidates for mains exam and is qualifying in nature. On the other hand, the paper 2 (mains) exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the  Document verification.

The final cut off released on the basis of the marks obtained in the paper 2 exam and the document verfication. The candidates securing the marks equal to or more than the cut off marks is considered qualified for the SSC JE exam and gets recruited as per the preferences made by the candidates.

Q:   In which mode is the SSC JE exam conducted?
A: 

SSC JE exam is conducted in two modes- i) Computer Based Test and ii) Conventional Mode. The details of these modes have been given below for the candidates:

Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode:

The SSC JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 

Conventional Paper-Pen Mode: 

SSC JE Paper 2 (Convntional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen paper mode. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. The mode of Paper 2 also depends upon the specific job profile.

To conclude, SSC JE Paper 1 is conducted in online mode (CBT) whereas Paper 2 can be either in CBT or conventional paper-pen mode depending on the specific post/subject.

Candidates who clear the SSC JE exam are appointed as junior engineers in the departments of the Government of India to fulfill the technical projects. The exam is conducted for the students who have a Diploma degree in the Civil, Electrical or Mechanical discipline.

Q:   What happens after the declaration of SSC JE paper 2 result?
A: 

After the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the SSC JE Paper 2 result, the final merit list is made for the candidates combining the marks of Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidates whose roll numbers appear in the final merit list are called for the document verification stage. The candidates have to submit the documents asked by the SSC like marksheets, passing certificate, etc., for different stages of education, identity proof like driving license, pan card, etc. Once the provisionally selected candidates clears the document verification round then the SSC provides appointment letter to the candidates acording to their preferences adn the performance in the exam. The Commission than recommends the candidates for the appointment purposes to the Ministry of Personnel.
