A:

According the official notification released by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission) along with the UPSSSC VDO result on Febraury 22, 2024, does not gaurantee the UP VDO post for the qualified candidates as it is considered as provisional result. Also, candidates cannot claim the result on the basis of the released result by the UPSSSC on any ground. There is no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of UPSSSC VDO scores. The official notification reads, "No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The candidates can only raise objections against the provisional answer key. Based on the objections raised by the candidates the final answer key and the result is released." So the candidates get their scores re-evaluarted. However, the candidates can raise objections against the UPSSSC VDO provisional answer key.

(a) Passed the Intermediate Examination of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education or any examination recognised as equal thereto.

A:

No, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission does not conduct the UPSSSC VDO or UP Gram Vikas Adhikari exam every year. The UPSSSC VDO exam was conducted in 2018 which was rescheduled after the cancellation of the exam in June 2023. According to the trends of UPSSSC, the exam is conducted once in five years.

The overall difficulty level of UPSSSC VDO exam conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) remains moderate. The section wise difficulty level of the UP VDO exam is given below:

  • Attire: Candidates should not wear shoes or footwear with thick soles. Also, candidates must not wear clothes with large buttons or steel buttons to the test centre.  
  • Personal belongings: Candidates should not carry any personal belongings such as mobile phones, purses or electronic devices such as calculators inside the test centre. Exam authority will not be responsible for the safe keep of the personal belongings of candidates.
 

Pre Requisites for Filling UPSSSC VDO Form

  • Photo ID proof: Candidates must also carry a valid and original photo ID proof to the test centre. It may be noted that photocopies of the IDs even if attested or on mobile phones will not be considered. UPSSSC VDO Application Form Important Points 2024

The candidates must know the important points before applying for the UPSSSC VDO exam:

  • Candidates can submit the application form online on the official website of the exam only. UP VDO applications submitted in any other mode will not be accepted
  • Candidates can submit only one application form
  • Candidates must enter their email ID and mobile number in the application form correctly as UPSSSC will do all the important communication regarding the exam through email or SMS

All four steps of the application process (registration, application form filling, uploading of photo and signature, and application fee payment) can be done together or at separate times 

  • Candidates do not need to upload any document other than a scanned photo and signature in the application form
  • In case, the confirmation page is not generated after the payment of the application fee, this means that the transaction has been canceled. The amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account in such cases. However, the candidate has to make another transaction of fee payment
  • Candidates must retain the printed copies of the confirmation page for future reference
  • Since the entire UP VDO application process is online, candidates do not need to send any document through post/fax/by hand/email to UPSSSC

Q:   Is there any negative marking scheme in UPSSSC VDO exam?

A:

Yes, the UPSSSC VDO exam follows a negative marking scheme. The commission make panalty of 0.5 marks for the incorrect answers. However, there is no negative marking for the unanswered questions. The candidates taking the exam are advised to mark the answers carefully and while preparation they should focus on accuracy or they will lose their marks. The candidates should keep following things while taking the UP VDO exam:
