RRB Application Form 2024: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) invite the application form for RRB ALP, RRB NTPC, RRB Group D and Je exams in online mode. RRB application form is released on the respective official websites of RRBs. However, the official page provides the RRB application form online links for various posts-RRB Group D, RRB NTPC, RRB ALP, and RRB JE. RRB application form comprises several parts that candidates need to fill correctly. It is mandatory to complete all the parts of the RRB application form.

The RRB Online application process is almost the same for all the exams. The application process varies only during the selection of the desired RRB 2024 Exam. Before filling out the Railway online form, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the post they are applying for. 

Q:   WHen RRB ALP exam will be conducted?

A:

The CBT 1 exam will be conducted between June and August 2024. The CBT 2 exam will be conducted in September 2024. RRB ALP CBAT exam will be conducted in November 2024. The shortlist for document verification will be released in November 2024/ December 2024. The CBT 1 exam of RRB ALP comprises questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, General Science and General awareness on current affairs. The test carries a total of 75 marks. The CBT 2 is divided into two parts-Part A and Part B. Part A of the second stage CBT comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. In Part B, Total 75 questions are asked in the exam. This part is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

 

Q:   For which posts RRB Group D application form is released?

A:

RRB Group D application form is released for the post of Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T departments), Pointsman and other Level-I posts. The selection process comprises CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Interested candidates need to apply online for the exam. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form. Candidates should not submit multiple applications for RRB Group D exams. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250.

 

Q:   How to upload photograph and signature in RRB NTPC application form?

A:
The process to upload the photograph and signature is given below: Candidates will be automatically directed to the 'Photo and Signature' upload part of the application Select the 'Upload Photo Tab' and upload the colour photograph Select the 'Upload Signature Tab' and upload the scanned signature The photograph and signature should be in the prescribed format.
 

Q:   How much application fees is refunded for RRB Group D exam?

A:

Candidates who appear in the CBT exam are refunded their application fees. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ ExSM/ PwBD/ Female/ Minority/EBC/Transgender categories will be entitled to get a full refund of their examination fees, which is INR 250. Whereas candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC categories receive a partial refund of their examination fees, which is INR 400 after deducting the bank charges. To get the refund of application fee, candidates need to update their bank accounts. While, filling the application form candidates need to provide the details of their bank accounts inorder to get the fee refund.

 

Railway Application Form 2024

RRB Railway Application Form 2024 is released by various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) on their respective official website. Candidates can apply for the various railway application form by creating an account on the respective RRB's official websites. It is mandatory to complete all the parts of the RRB application form. Q:   When will RRB NTPC application form be released?

A:

RRB NTPC application form will be released along with the notification. Interested candidates need to fill the application form online only. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. In 2022, a total of 1.25 crore application forms were received for RRB NTPC exam. Candidates are not required to sent the hard copy of RRB NTPC application form. The steps to fill the application form are given below:

  • Visit the official websites of RRBs
  • Click on the 'RRB NTPC Apply Online' link on the home page
  • Candidates need to register for the exam such as name, category, date of birth, email ID, contact number, and academic details among others
  • After submitting the details, a provisional user ID and password are
  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature
  • Candidates need to fill the educational qualification and other details
  • Candidates should preview the application form
  • Candidates need to upload the left thumb impression and handwritten declaration
  • Pay the application fees and submit the application form
 

Q:   What details are required to be entered in RRB Group D registration form?

A:
In RRB Group D registration form, candidates are required to enter their name, date of birth and father name, mother name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric registration number, year of passing, mobile number, and email-ID. Candidates need to apply online for the exam. The hard copy of the application form is not sent to candidates by post. Q:   What if candidates submit more than one RRB Group D application form?

A:

Candidates are not required to sent the hard copy of the application form.

Pre-Requisites for RRB Application Form 2024

The pre-requisites for filling RRB application form for various exams are given below:

Read the Instructions Carefully

Candidates must read the instructions carefully before filling RRB application form. It is essential that candidates understand all the information in the RRB notification to prevent any mistakes while filling out the application form.

Keep the Scanned Documents Ready

Before filling out the application form, candidates must keep the scanned documents such as a photograph, signature, SC/ST Certificate (if applicable) and scribe photograph (wherever applicable) in JPEG format ready.

Check Railway Vacancies

Candidates are advised to check the post parameter table and vacancy table to ascertain the vacancies notified against all railways and then decide the railway for which they wish to apply.

Keep a Valid Mobile Number and Email ID Ready

Candidates are advised to have a valid mobile number and email ID and should be kept active throughout the recruitment process. All communications from RRBs/RRCs will be sent through SMS/email. Only one online registration is permitted through one mobile number and one email ID.

Q:   What details do I need to enter in the RRB NTPC application form?

A:
In RRB NTPC registration form, candidates need to enter their name, date of birth, father's name, mother's name, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric roll number, year of passing, mobile number and email-ID. Before submitting the registration, ensure and confirm that all the information given are correct. The registration details cannot be changed later. Candidates should note that their email and mobile numbers will be verified during the Online Application process with a One Time Password (OTP).. .
 

Q:   Is there any provision to modify RRB NTPC application form?

A:
After final submission of RRB NTPC application form, in case candidates wish to make minor changes in the application form other than RRB email and mobile number, can do so by paying the modification fee of INR 100. The modification fee is applicable to all candidates including fee concession categories and this fee is not refunded for any category. In case, candidates wish to change their communities (from SC/ST to your/OBC), they need to pay the difference in examination fee I. e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to your/OBC (NCL)/Non Ex.SM/Non PwBD/Male etc. , need to pay the difference in examination fee I. e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee.
 

Q:   Which details can be edited in RRB Group D application form?

A:
Candidates are allowed to modify all details except the chosen railway, email ID, and mobile number even after the submission of RRB Group D application form by paying the modification fee. Correction in data other than the railway, email and mobile number can be done by paying the modification fee of INR 100. The modification fee is applicable to all candidates including fee concession categories and this fee is not refundable for any category. To modify the community (SC/ST to your or OBC), candidates are required to pay INR 250 in addition of modification fee. The steps towards modifying the application form are given below: After final submission of RRB Group D application, in case the candidates wish to make minor changes to correct inadvertent errors in the application, the correction of data other than Railway, email and mobile number can be done by paying the modification fee of INR 100 (Non-Refundable) The modification fee shall be applicable to all candidates including fee concession categories and this fee is not refundable for any category. In the case of a candidate modifying his community from SC/ST to UR or OBC, he will have to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. In case of failure to do so, the modified application will not be accepted Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM/PwBD/Female/Transgender to UR/OBC(NCL)/Non Ex.SM/Non PwBD/Male etc., they will have to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee. In case of failure to do so, the modified application will not be accepted The modification to the registration and application details can be done for maximum two times only
 

How to Fill RRB Application Form 2024?

The steps to fill out the RRB application form are given below:

RRB Registration

  • Visit the official websites of RRBs
  • Select the railway to which you wish to apply
  • Confirm that you have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the checkbox
  • Click on ‘New Registration’
  • Enter name, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric Registration Number, Year of passing, mobile number, and email ID
  • Candidates with ITI/NAC qualifications can enter their registration number/year of passing for ITI/NAC qualification instead of SSLC/Matric
  • Before submitting the registration form, ensure and confirm that all the information is correct since it cannot be changed later
  • The email ID used for registration must be unique

Verification of Email ID and Mobile Number Through OTP

  • On submitting the primary details, the registration number and password are displayed
  • OTPs are also sent to the registered mobile number and email along with the registration details
  • Candidates need to enter the OTP to proceed to fill out the application form and make fee payment

Candidates can proceed with the online application by clicking on the ‘Already Registered’ button on the home page using the registration number and password

Filling out the Application Form

  • In Part 1 of the application page, provide the details of educational qualification, community UR/OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS, Gender, Religion, Ex-SM, PwBD, CCAA, Minority, Economically Backward, Class and Age Relaxation eligibility category as applicable and other details
  • In Part 2 of the application page, candidates need to indicate his/her priority/preference for the posts

Payment and Bank Account Details

  • On completion of application details, candidates will be redirected to the payment page
  • Choose the payment mode - Bank (Online Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI and Offline Challan) or Post Office Challans and complete the payment
  • Those who opt for payment through offline mode should note that the payment confirmation may take two hours. Therefore, they need to again login after two hours for confirmation of payment status. The time period for payment confirmation varies from 24 hours to 48 hours in the case of Post Office payment.

Choice of Exam Language

English is the default language. In case, the candidate wishes to choose any other language, then the same can be selected from the drop-down list of languages. The languages listed are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Fill in the Details of the Photo-Identity Card

Candidates will have to fill in the details of a valid Photo ID card in the application form

Bank Account Details for Refund

  • Candidates who attend CBT are eligible for a refund of the examination fee. All candidates who give the confirmation to receive their refund to the account from which they have made the application fee payment, need not fill in these details and hence, this will not be visible to them
  • Only those candidates who do not wish to receive the refund in the account through which they paid the examination fee should provide the details of the Beneficiary Account in which they wish to receive the refund viz. Beneficiary Name, Account Number, Name of Bank, and IFSC Code in the online application
  • Those candidates who deposited their fees through Post Office or SBI Challan must provide the details of the Beneficiary Account in which they wish to receive the refund viz. Beneficiary Name, Account Number, Name of Bank, and IFSC Code in the Online Application, otherwise they will not receive the refund
  • Candidates may indicate their consent for sharing the scores obtained by them in RRB/RRC exams with other Ministries/Departments/PSUs and Private organizations, for recruitment

Photograph and Signature Upload

  • Candidates will be automatically directed to the ‘upload the photo and signature 
  • Select the 'Upload Photo Tab' and upload your colour photograph
  • The photograph should be of size 35mmX45mm or 320 x 240 pixels
  • It should be in JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI resolution
  • The size of the photograph should be between 20-50KB
  • The signature should be in JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI resolution
  • Dimensions of 50mmx20mm or 140x60 pixels are preferred
  • Size of the file should be between 10KB-40KB

SC/ST Certificate Upload

Candidates belonging to the SC/ST community who opt to avail of the Free Rail Travel have to upload scanned copies of their SC/ ST certificates in JPG/JPEG format. The size of the file should be 50 KB to 100 KB.

Submission of Application

In the end, candidates have to confirm the declaration. After confirming the declaration and submission of the application, candidates can download the PDF copy of the application form.

Q:   What might be the reasons for the rejection of the RRB NTPC application form?

A:
The reasons for rejection of the RRB NTPC application form are invalid photograph, wrong date of birth, incorrect details, multiple applications, etc. Candidates should enter the details carefully to avoid any rejection of the application form. Candidates should fill the RRB NTPC application form online only. The application fee for all candidates except the fee concession categories is INR 500 whereas it is INR 250 for PwBD/Female/Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class. The application fee is refunded to candidates once they appear for the CBT 1 exam. Q:   What is RRB NTPC salary?

A:

RRB NTPC salary is different for different posts. The starting basic salary range offered to undergraduate posts is INR 19,900 to 21,700. While, the graduate post employees are offered RRB NTPC salary in the range of INR 25,500 to INR 35,400. The monthly basic salary for Junior Clerk cum Typist is INR 19,900 while it is INR 35,400 for Station Master and Commercial Apprentice. Candidates are also entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), Travel Allowance (TA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), pension benefits, and medical reimbursements. RRB Application Form Correction 2024

Candidates can edit their Railway Exam application forms in the following manner:

  • After the final submission of the RRB application form, in case of candidates wish to make minor changes, the correction of data other than railway, email, and mobile number can be done by paying the modification fee of INR 100 (Non-Refundable)
  • In the case of candidates modifying their communities from SC/ST to UR or OBC, they need to pay the difference in examination fee of INR 250 in addition to the modification fee

  • Login using the registration number and password
  • Pay the modification fee through any of the modes available for actual examination fee payment
  • Ensure payment is made well within the date and time prescribed
  • Click on the ‘Modify Application’ button
  • Proceed with the changes intended as per the instructions given and submit the application
  • Preserve the printout of the latest application for the record
