NIMCET results 2026 will be announced online at https://nimcet.admissions.nic.in/. Candidates will be able to check the NIMCET results for the year 2026 by the end of June 2026. Results will be available in the form of the NIMCET scorecard. The candidates and the details mentioned on the scorecard must be checked. The qualified candidates can go for counselling for NIMCET 2026.

Steps to check the NIMCET 2026 result

The NIMCET 2026 result will be announced online. The candidates will be able to access the NIMCET result 2026 by following the given steps.

  • Go to nimcet.admissions.nic.in
  • Click on the result link.
  • Provide their User ID and password.
  • Click on 'Sign In'
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the result in the form of a scorecard for future use.

NIMCET 2026 Result - Qualifying Criteria

Candidates will only be declared qualified if they obtain the minimum qualifying marks and will be eligible to participate in the NIMCET 2026 counselling and seat allotment process. NIMCET ranks will be allotted on the basis of the below criteria:

The marks secured will be multiplied by a factor of:

    • Mathematics: 3
    • Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning: 1½
    • Computer Awareness: 2
    • English: 1
  • The maximum weighted marks will be 1000 and the ranking will be based on the total weighted marks obtained.
  • Ties, if any, will be resolved based on weighted marks in Mathematics, followed by Logical Reasoning, and then Computer Awareness.
  • If the tie is not resolved by the above criteria, it will be determined by age, favouring the older candidate.

The eligibility criteria for NIMCET are as follows -

Nationality

Must be an Indian citizen

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT), BCA, B.Tech/B.E., or any equivalent degree with Mathematics/Statistics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level

Minimum Marks

At least 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA  (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates)

Final Year Students

Eligible to apply, but must provide proof of passing before admission

The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are the conducting authorities of the NIMCET. Every year, an NIT conducts the exam on a rotational basis. In 2025, the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, conducted the exam.

The NIMCET is conducted by an individual NIT on a rotational basis every year. So the NIT that is conducting the NIMCET in that year will release the NIMCET answer key. In 2025, the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli conducted the NIMCET and hence, released the answer key.
