Admission Process: For admission at FTII, students will have to firstly apply online and appear for a Joint Entrance Test (JET) which is conducted by the FTII and SRFTI together in order to offer students admission in the postgraduate diploma courses which are offered at the institutes. Candidates who clear the Joint Entrance Test, will be called at the respective campuses for an interview. A merit list will be released where students who have qualified, will be called to the institute to complete the admission process.

An academic institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Satyajit Ray Fim and Television Institute (SRFTI) in Kolkata offers students admission in various specialisations under the film and television wings. Admission Process: Admission into SRFTI is as such that candidates need to apply online and will have to appear for a Joint Entrance Test (JET). The JET is conducted by the FTII and SRFTI together in order to offer students admission. Candidates who have applied for admission in SRFTI, once cleared, they will be called to the institute of an interview. Film and Television Institute of India releases caste certificate forms and performas in its FTII JET admission prospectus. The university is expected to release the FTII JEt 2026 admission brochure and application form in July. Once released, candidates can check official website for PDF link.

No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.

FTII JET application window is not yet open. Once Film and Television Institute of India announces the registration details in its admission prospectus, candidates will be able to know the last date to apply for FTII JET.
