FTII Interview will conducted tentatively in September/October 2026 at FTII Pune campus. Eligibile candidates who will pass the interview will be able to check their names in the merit list at official FTII website. Check below to know what to do after FTII Interview.
What After FTII Interview?
FTII Interview is the Stage 2 of FTII JET exam, conducted by Film and Television Institute of India. The result for FTII JET interview round will be declared in October 2026, after its successful completion in September/October 2026. After FTII interview, selected candidates can check their scores in FTII result 2026 and pay the FTII seat acceptance fee.
Film and Television Institute of India will conduct FTII JET 2026 in 2 stages: FTII JET Stage 1 (Written Test) and FTII JET Stage 2 (Practice Assessment/Interview). Candidates who will pass Stage 1 exam will be eligible to appear for Stage 2 or Interview round. The second stage of FTII JET exam includes Screenwriting and Screen Acting. What After FTII JET Interview?
Once the FTII JET Interview Round (Stage 2) is over, candidates must follow the below stages:
Step 1: Check FTII JET Final Merit List
After second stage is over, Film and Television Institute of India will release FTII JET final merit list. The result will include names and roll numbers of selected candidates, and their JET score in Stage 1 and Stage 2. Candidates can check their result by following below steps:
- Visit the FTII Announcement Page at ac.in/announcement
- Click on 'Revised Final Merit List for FTII Entrance Test 2026-27'
- Results will be displayed on the screen in a PDF format for each course.
- Download FTII JET Merit List PDF.
At later stages, FTII will also release category-wise FTII JET cut off for each offered course.
Note - Only candidates who will have their names in the result PDF will be eligible for FTII JET counselling process.
Step 2: Pay FTII JET Seat Acceptance Fee
Candidates who will pass the FTII interview round will have to confirm their seat by paying Seat Acceptance Fee of INR 50, 000 via SBI Collect Portal. If a candidate does not pay the seat acceptance fee by last date, their seat will be offered to the next eligible candidate. Follow below steps to pay FTII JET Seat Acceptance Fee:
- Visit the SB-Collect Portal/Link at onlinesbi.sbi.bank.in/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm.
- Enter 'FTII FEES ACCOUNT' in the search bar.
- Select 'FTII JET 2026-2027 Seat Acceptance Fee' under 'category'.
- Enter the following details:
- First, Middle, & Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Email ID
- Mobile Number
- Roll Number
- Captcha
- Click on 'Next'.
- Pay the seat acceptance fee and download the receipt for future.
Note - The acceptance fee amount will be later deducted from the candidate’s course fee, if their admission is confirmed at FTII.
Step 3: Get Documents Verified
After paying FTII seat acceptance fee, candidates will have to get their documents verified to move forward towards admission. Film and Television Institute of India will share the document verification status of the candidate on their registered contact details. To get the status report, candidates will have to fill and submit a google form, to be released on official Announcement page.
Step 4: Participate in Medical Test
Film and Television Institute of India also conducts a Medical Test for eligible candidates. This is the last stage of FTII selection process. If a candidate fails the medical test, the university has the right to cancel their admission.
Commonly asked questions
The Film and Television Institute of India shares the list of exam cities for written test in the FTII JET admission prospectus. The detailed address of the exam centre will be mentioned in the admit card of applicants.
The interview/audition rounds will be conducted after the declaration of FTII JET result. Candidates will be intimated about the interview/audition rounds through the official website. Candidates whi qualify in the exam as per the result of the FTII JET will have to keep checking the official website as well as Shiksha.com to get the latest updates about the interview/audition schedule.
You might already know that you have to carry your admit card to the FTII JET exam centre. You can take two copies just to be safe. Also, carry a government issued photo ID like your Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or Driver's License. And you can only take the test with a blue/ black ball point pen, so carry those.

Commonly asked questions
No, the Joint Entrance Test will not be done through online mode. Both the question papers of the FTII JET, paper 1 and 2 will be conducted offline mode i.e. pen and paper test. Paper 1 will be MCQ based, while paper 2 will be descriptive based.
Candidates will be notified about the interview/audition round after the exam is over. The exam body will release a merit list of selected candidates in the written exam on its official website. With the help of the merit list candidates will be able to know the about the interview/audition round.

No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.
