IIM Shortlist 2020: Meet the students who made it to IIM Ahmedabad
IIM Ahmedabad 2020 shortlist result for MBA/PGP 2020-2022 batch has been declared; know the student who cracked WAT-PI and have been selected for IIM Ahmedabad admission.
IIM Ahmedabad announced the result of final selection round for admission to MBA/PGP batch 2020-2022 on May 8. The institute sent admission call letters to selected candidates via email. As soon as the candidates received their letters from IIM Ahmedabad, celebrations began in their household.
After declaration of CAT 2019 result, IIM Ahmedabad shortlisted 1243 candidates for AWT-PI round. The AWT-PI round was conducted in March but declaration of final result was delayed due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.

IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2020: Candidates Selected
Among 1243 students, 385 have been selected for admission to IIM Ahmedabad’s MBA batch of 2020-2022. Those selected included Kislay Jha from Jamshedpur, who scored 99.96 percentile in CAT 2019. The Chemical Engineering graduate from BIT, Mesra got interview calls from all the IIMs and has already been selected by IIM Ahmedabad.

Ankit Desai from Kanpur, who score 99.91 percentile in CAT 2019, has converted call from both IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. In a Facebook post, Ankit shared that he applied for all the top six IIMs and FMS. Consequently, he ended up giving four interviews in six days and messed up IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta interviews. He is now awaiting result of IIM Lucknow, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore and FMS, Delhi.

Among other aspirants who cleared the AWT-PI round of IIM Ahmedabad is Nidhi Gupta from Ahmedabad. A final year student of Information and Communication Technology at DAIICT, Nidhi is hopeful to covert calls from IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta too.
Manav Mehta, also from Ahmedabad, is a medical officer with Jamnagar Muncipal Corporation. A qualified MBBS, Manav is elated to have received call from IIM Ahmedabad. "While studying for MBBS in Ahmedabad, I used to pass by IIMA, dreaming of getting in some day,” he was quoted as saying by Ahmedabad Mirror.
Another female aspirant who has been selected by IIM Ahmedabad for admission to MBA batch of 2020-2022, is Abhignya Chalamcharla, also from Ahmedabad. A student of Information and Communication Technology at DAIICT, Abhignya is expecting call from IIM Bangalore too, and would like to join Business Analytics there.
Owais Choudhary, who hails from a remote village along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district has also made it to IIM Ahmedabad. He scored 98.5 percentile CAT 2019. A BTech graduate from Delhi Technical University, Owais relied upon online material to study for CAT. Owais was first from the Gujjar community in Rajouri and Poonch districts to crack CAT and clear IIM Ahmedabad AWT-PI.

Yes, IIM Ahmedabad refunds MBA fees in case of withdrawal of admission after deducting a processing fees of INR 1,000. The refund is done as per the notification from MHRD, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India. The refund is released to the same account from which amount was received.

IIM Ahmedabad fees varies course-wise. Students selected for admission have to pay the course fees to confirm their seat. In case of withdrawal of admission, the institute refund fee after deduction of INR 1,000 towards processing charges. Check below IIMA course-wise fees:

IIM Ahmedabad reserves seats as per the Government of India norms. The institute reserves maximum (27%) seats for OBC-NCL category students. 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST aspirants, respectively. 5% seats are reserved for PwD and 10% for EWS category candidates.
