OJEE 2025 counselling started on September 27, 2025, at ojee.nic.in for BAMS/BHMS course. Seat allotment result for the MBBS/BDS (Round 2) through OJEE counselling 2025 was released online. Special OJEE 2025 was conducted on July 15, 2025 and July 16, 2025. OJEE counselling registration 2025 started on June 20, 2025, at 5 PM. 

OJEE 2025 was conducted from May 2 to May 6 and from May 10, 2025, to May 12, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the OJEE exam 2025, must download their OJEE scorecard online. The OJEE Cell conducts a centralized counselling process and the candidates who meet the cutoff can take part in the OJEE exam counselling process 2025 on the scheduled date. OJEE result 2025 was released on June 10, 2025

What is OJEE?

Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the OJEE Cell for admission to B.Pharm, MBA/PGDM, MCA, and M.Tech courses. The OJEE exam was held in the computer-based test (CBT) mode for different programmes. Based on OJEE scores, candidates can apply for admission to various programmes offered by OJEE-participating colleges. OJEE is also conducted for admission to Lateral Entry B.Tech, MCA/Lateral Entry MCA courses. Biju Pattanaik Film and Television Institute of Odisha (BPFTIO), offers four-year degree programmes for the academic session in Cinematic Art and Technology in three prime disciplines, i.e., Cinematography, Sound Recording and Sound Design and Film editing. Candidates who wish to appeared for BCAT and MSc Computer Science also had to apply through the OJEE exam.

Candidates who are seeking admission to the undergraduate courses through OJEE, can fill the OJEE application form online after Class 12. Undergraduate courses such as BPharma, BTech, BCAT and Integrated MBA are offered through OJEE at various government and private colleges in Odisha. 

Class 12 graduates applying for these courses should fulfil the OJEE eligibilty criteria according to their prefered course in order to be eligible to appear for the exam. The application form for each course offered through OJEE is available online on the official website. 

Q:   Is OJEE easier than JEE?
A: 

Yes, OJEE is generally considered easier than JEE in terms of the difficulty level.  The level of the OJEE exam is easy to moderate and it focuses on basic concepts. The difficulty level of the JEE exam is high and majorly focuses on deep understanding of the concepts. 

The OJEE exam is a state level entrance exam whereas the JEE exam is a national-level entrance exam and is accepted by some of the top institute in the country. Also, the competition in OJEE exam is comparatively lesser than JEE as it is accepted at the national level.

  • OJEE is a state-government-controlled centralized entrance exam conducted for admissions to various private and government colleges in Odisha.

Q:   How many colleges are under OJEE?
A: 

There are 89 Colleges Under OJEE for BTech, two colleges for BArch, 86 colleges for MBA, 44 colleges for MCA, and 29 colleges for Pharmacy. The seat intake capacity is different for all the campuses. The OJEE participating colleges are the colleges which accept the OJEE scores, government as well as private. Candidates who are natives of Odisha are eligible to take admission to the government colleges in the state and the candidates from any other state in India and abroad other than Odisha are only eligible to take admission to the private colleges in Odisha based on their scores in OJEE. 

Q:   When will the OJEE exam be conducted?
A: 

The OJEE Cell has announced the OJEE exam dates. The OJEE exam 2025 was conducted from May 2, 2025, to May 6, 2025 and on May 10 and 11. The registrations for OJEE exam started on January 30, 2025. The registration window closed on March 20, 2025.

The OJEE admission process is completely online and the schedule was also be announced online on the official website. The OJEE 2025 exam was conducted in three-four shifts like every year. The schedule along with the exam timings and duration was announced along with the OJEE exam date. 

Q:   What is the seat reservation policy in OJEE?

Reserved category students will be given a five percent relaxation in the minimum aggregate required for students from Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe categories for all the courses offered through Odisha Joint Entrance Examination. There is also a 30 percent reservation for female students in Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Planning, Bachelor of Architecture, Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Application, and Integrated Master of Business Administration. OJEE 2025 Counselling

OJEE counselling process started on June 20, 2025. The first mock allotment list will be released on July 1, 2025. All the rank holders in OJEE, JEE Main and NEET are eligible to participate in the counselling process irrespective of their admission status. OJEE 2025 counselling is an online process for final seat allotment. Students scoring well in the exam can participate in the OJEE counselling round based on their ranks and schedule. The OJEE board releases the final seat allotment after the counselling process. Candidates can login using their credentials to participate in the counselling process. Students who appear for the Special OJEE exam and will be awarded ranks must note that the ranking for this course starts from 1100001.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for OJEE counselling?

Students who wish to participate in the OJEE counselling must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria. 1. Candidate must have completed at least 17 years of age 2. Candidates who wish to participate in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET (UG) with a valid rank 3. Candidates' parents should be a native of Odisha state. 4. Candidates have to present the Resident/Nativity Certificate during document verification 5. Candidate must have scored 50% aggregate in Physics Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 for General category candidates. The minimum aggregate for SC/ST is 40%. 6. Also, the candidates must have passed English Physics Chemistry and Biology subjects individually.

Q:   Will my OJEE score be considered even after I take JEE Main?
A: 

Yes, if the candidate is not satisfied with their JEE Main score and are unable to take admission to their desired college, they can take the OJEE exam and use the OJEE rank to take admission to their preferred college which accepts OJEE scores. 

This is in case that OJEE rank meets the cutoff. OJEE is a state level entrance exam and the state colleges accept OJEE scores for admission to different courses.

Q:   What to do after OJEE cutoffs are released?
A: 

After the OJEE cutoff is released, candidates should check the cutoff released by their preferred college. If the candidates match the cutoff, they will be called for the counselling process at various institutes. Candidates will be reqiured to fill in their cjoices of courses and colleges. And after the seat allotment is done they should visit the institute of document verficiation and fee payment. Once the seat is confirmed, they must report to the college on the scheduled date.

Q:   My OJEE rank card shows my rank as 1100478. What does that mean?
A: 

Students who appeared for the Special OJEE exam, will be awarded the ranks which start from 1100001. The 1100478 in the student's OJEE rank card would mean that they appeared for the Special OJEE exam and their rank was 478 among the students who appeared for the Special OJEE exam. 

The counselling for such candidates will be done after the first phase of the OJEE counselling process and considering the JEE Main candidates. The ranking of Special OJEE BTech begins with 1100001 instead of 1.  

Q:   Can I get admission in Trident College through OJEE?
A: 

Yes, Trident Colleges accepts the score of OJEE for admissions. The college offers BTech, BSc in Biotechnology, BBA and BCA under UG programmes whereas the Post-Graduate Programme list includes MTech, MCA, MBA and MSc Biotechnology. To be eligible to take admission to the Trident College candidates must have taken OJEE in the relevant year and meet the cutoff. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying exam.

Step 1: OJEE Registrations

The first step in the OJEE application process is the OJEE registration. Candidates need to visit the official website of OJEE and register themselves for the exam by filling the OJEE 2025 application form with the required details. Candidates need to complete the OJEE application process by paying the OJEE application fee of INR 1,000. In case, candidates are applying for a combination of papers such as M.Tech and MBA or MBA and MCA, then the fee will be INR 1,500. Candidates can pay the fee through Netbanking, Debit/credit card or Offline via SBI challan.

Step 2: Download OJEE Admit Card

Download OJEE 2025 admit cards from the official website and read the instructions on the admit card carefully. If there is an error on the admit card, immediately report to the OJEE Cell.

Step 3: Appear for OJEE 2025 exam

OJEE 2025 was conducted in computer-based test mode. Candidates had to appear for the exam and reach the exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. 

Step 4: Download OJEE 2025 answer key published by the OJEE Cell

OJEE Cell released the answer keys for OJEE 2025 question paper on the official website. Candidates can also download the scorecard from the official website itself. 

Step 5: Register for OJEE 2025 counselling process

Candidates who have cleared the OJEE exam will have to register for the OJEE counselling process. The list of selected candidates through Web Counselling and Institute level will be released by the authorities.

The OJEE exam is a computer-based test for all courses. However, the OJEE exam pattern differs according to the course you are applying for. The generic OJEE exam pattern is as follows: 1. The exam will only be conducted in the computer-based test mode. Earlier, the exam was also conducted in the paper-based test mode but from 2019 onwards, the PBT mode has been scrapped. 2. The duration of the exam for the MBA, LE B.Tech, LE B.Sc/ LE, MCA/LE MCA M.Tech and MArch courses is 120 minutes (2 hours). The duration for the B.Pharma course is three hours and for MPHARM Integrated MBA and LE B.Pharma courses, the exam duration is one hour or 60 minutes. 3. There will only be multiple-choice questions in the OJEE question paper 4. Four marks will be awarded for the correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions which have not been attempted. Here is a detailed OJEE MBA exam pattern: 1. The total marks for the exam are 480. 2. Total number of questions is 120. 3. There are four sections, I. e. Quantitative Techniques, Verbal reasoning and Comprehension, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Business Fundamentals 4. Each section carries 30 questions.

Special OJEE 2025

Special OJEE result cum scorecard released on July 23, 2025. Special OJEE registration 2025 began on June 13, 2025. Special OJEE application form was available online. Students who want to take admission through OJEE but couldn't appear for the exam can apply through Special OJEE. Special OJEE will be conducted for admissions to BTech, LeTech (Diploma), LeTech (B.Sc), MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch and MPharma courses under OJEE. The second/Special OJEE 2025 exam was conducted for admission to first-year courses in all private and government colleges in Odisha against the vacant seats left after the first round of counselling of OJEE. The students belonging to states other than Odisha are not eligible for admission to government colleges; however, they can opt for private colleges. Students who hold a rank in OJEE or JEE Main, do not have to appear for Special OJEE. Special OJEE 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on July 15 and July 16, in four shifts. The authorities release a new link for the Special OJEE registration, and the candidates who did not appear for the OJEE exam, can register for the Special OJEE counselling.

OJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

OJEE eligibility criteria vary for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The minimum OJEE eligibility criteria to apply for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is:

  • The candidate must have completed Class 12 or any equivalent examination from a recognised board to apply for undergraduate courses.
  • The candidate must hold a diploma or bachelor's degree from a relevant stream to apply for lateral entry courses.
  • The candidate must be a graduate in any relevant discipline from a recognised university.

OJEE 2025 eligibility criteria for undergraduate programmes

  1. B.Pharma - Candidates who have qualified Class 12 examination in the science stream with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate can apply for the OJEE exam 2025. There is no prescribed age limit for admission to the B.Pharma programme.
  2. BHMS/BAMS - Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate in all three subjects taken together. There is no age bar.

OJEE 2025 eligibility criteria for postgraduate programmes

  1. MBA - The candidate must hold a graduation degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent or bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy of four years duration with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate. Students in their final year are also eligible to apply. There is no prescribed age limit defined for MBA programmes.
  2. MTech - The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or above in their graduation from a relevant discipline. Students in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply. No age limit is prescribed for admission to MTech programmes.
  3. MCA - Candidate should have completed their graduation of a minimum of three years duration in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent and should have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or undergraduate level. Final years students are also eligible to apply for MCA. There is no age bar for admission to the MCA programme.
  4. MArch - Candidates should have completed their bachelor's in Architecture with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent to be eligible to apply for MArch. Candidates in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply. No age limit is prescribed by the OJEE board for admission.
  5. MPharma - Candidates must have completed their graduation in Pharmacy with at least 50 per cent or more. No age bar is defined by the board for admission. Final year students can also apply.
  6. MSc Computer Science - Candidates should have completed a BSc degree with at least 50 per cent aggregate or more. Candidates who have passed BCA with science as the mainstream in Class 12 are also eligible to apply. Reserved category students have a relaxation of 5% aggregate

Q:   Who is eligible for the OJEE exam?
A: 

OJEE eligibility criteria are the requirements for appearing for the OJEE exam. OJEE scores are accepted in over 40 top B-schools in the country. The OJEE eligibility criteria are prescribed by the OJEE Cell, which is the OJEE exam conducting authority. The minimum requirement or eligibility criteria for appearing for OJEE is graduation. The basic OJEE eligibility criteria include:

  • Age Limit: There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for postgraduate courses, however, candidates appearing for BAMS/BHMS or Pharma must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31
  • Nationality: Candidates appearing for OJEE must be a citizen of India. If they wish to take admissions to government colleges in Odisha then the candidates must be a native of Odisha.

Q:   Is there an age limit to appear for OJEE?
A: 

Any graduate candidate with a 50 percent aggregate can apply for OJEE. The applicant must also be a citizen of India. There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for the exam. However, candidates appearing for BTech Marine Engineering exam must not be more than 22 years of age. Candidates in the final year of graduation or awaiting their result can also apply provisionally. They will be required to present their marksheets at the time of admissions.

Q:   Will OJEE scores be accepted for Odisha NEET Counselling?
A: 

No, admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses in Odisha are done on the basis of NEET scores only. Scores of OJEE or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will not be considered for medical or allied course admission. Hence, candidates seeking admission to medical and allied courses in the state of Odisha must have appeared, or plan to appear for NEET and qualify for the exam as well. Admission to Odisha NEET counselling will be done for 85 per cent state quota seats and is conducted by OJEE Counselling Committee.

Q:   What are the OJEE registration dates?

OJEE application process 2026 will likely begin in the last week of January 2026. The application form for OJEE will be available online and the candidates will be required to pay the application fee online as well.

No, there is no application fee concession in the OJEE exam. Candidates who register for the OJEE exam by filling the application form need to pay an application fee of INR 1000 for the primary programme. For each subsequent programme, they need to pay an application fee of INR 500. This means, if the student is appearing for MBA as well as MCA, then they need to pay INR 1000 as the base fee and INR 500 for the additional course. Hence, the total application fee turns out to be INR 1500.

Q:   Can I fill the OJEE application form offline?

No, the OJEE application form is available in online mode only which can be filled on the official website of OJEE or Odisha JEE. There is no provision of filling the application form offline. Candidates also need to make an online fee payment to complete the OJEE registration process.  The application forms for each course are released on the official website of OJEE and the candidates need to fill out the OJEE application form and then proceed to paying the OJEE application fee. The OJEE application procedure is completely online and there is no offline communication.

OJEE Exam Preparation 2025

OJEE exam preparation must begin at least six months before the exam date. The OJEE exam 2025 was held from May 2 to May 6 and from May 10 to May 11. OJEE 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates need to follow certain guidelines on the exam day to have a hassle-free exam experience. Check out the OJEE exam day guidelines mentioned below to be followed on the exam day:

  • Make sure that you are carrying the OJEE admit card to the exam centre as candidates will not be allowed inside the exam centre without the admit card.
  • Reach the test centre at least an hour before the exam timings to check for the seating plan and complete frisking formalities at the entry gate. No candidate will be allowed entry into the exam centre at least 15 minutes before the commencement of the exam.

If the candidates is appearing for the Special OJEE exam, he/she will have to fill a different application form and they will be issued a fresh Special OJEE admit card for that particular session. One OJEE admit card cannot be used for two or more sessions. 

Q:   If the OJEE admit card is lost, can I get a duplicate admit card? Do I need to preserve my OJEE admit card after the exam as well?

The OJEE admit cards will be available to download from the official website. Candidates can download the OJEE admit card multiple times but before downloading the admit card, candidates must make sure that there are no errors in the hall ticket. Once downloaded, candidates should take two or three coloured print outs of the OJEE hall ticket. Also, they must keep the admit card till the admission process is complete as they may be asked to present the OJEE admit card at the time of admission.

Q:   Is Special OJEE application fee refundable?
A: 

The Special OJEE registration fee is non-refundable. Once the Special OJEE application fee is paid, even if you do not appear for the exam the application fee will not be returned. If the amount has been debited from your account but the application fee payment status has not been updated, you can write to OJEE Cell. 2nd OJEE application fee is to be paid online, hence, candidates must carefully fill the application form and re-check the details filled in the application form before paying the application fee.

Q:   Will the OJEE exam be conducted in the paper-based mode this year?
A: 

No, OJEE exam will only be conducted in computer-based test mode. Earlier, OJEE was held in two modes computer-based test mode or online and paper-based test mode or offline, but 2019 onwards OJEE exam is being held in online mode only. There is also no provision of offline fee payment either. Candidates must note that OJEE registration is also an online process. The students need to visit the OJEE exam centre in order to take the OJEE exam. Candidates will be required to mark the correct answer by choosing the radio bullet against the right option given on the screen. Candidates will be given four options for each question and they will be required to choose the right one on the screen. 

Q:   What should I do if the examination center allotted to me for OJEE is far from my location?
A: 

Once the OJEE examination center is allocated, it is usually final. Hence, if the OJEE exam centre that has been alloted to you if far from the your current location then, plan your journey in advance. Research the location and calculate the estimated travel time and plan to arrive at the center well before the reporting time. Choose a reliable mode of transport to travel to the location and look out for an accomodation in advance if necessary.

Q:   Can I change my exam centre after the admit card has been issued for OJEE?
A: 
No, candidates can not make any changes once the OJEE application form has been submitted and the admit card has been issued. Candidates can however, contact the exam conducing authorities if they find any error in the OJEE admit card. Having said that, OJEE exam conducting authorities reserve the right to modify, add or combine any test centre/s if required.
Q:   Can I get an exam center for the OJEE in cities other than Odisha?
A: 

No, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination is a state-level examination that is held in about 32 test cities. New test cities were added to the list in the year 2022. Candidates appearing for the OJEE exam must download the OJEE admit card in order to know their exam centre details. The OJEE admit card will mention details such as name, application number, exam date, time, venue details, etc. The OJEE exam will likely be conducted in three slots and the candidates must ensure to reach the OJEE exam venue at least an hour before the exam begins. 

Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam centre only once the exam is over. They will not be allowed to leave the examination centre early. 

Q:   Can I carry a watch, eatables and water to the OJEE exam centre?
A: 
Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the OJEE exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times. Electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, smart devices, etc. Are prohibited inside the OJEE exam centre. Candidates should carry recent passport size photograph, photo ID (original and photocopy) and OJEE admit card along with them to the exam centre.
Q:   What are the documents to be carried to the OJEE exam centre?
A: 

The candidates appearing for the OJEE exam must carry the following list of document to the OJEE exam centre:

  • OJEE admit card
  • Photo ID proof (such as Aadhar card, driving license, pan card, passport, etc.)
  • Two passport size photographs of the candidate

Candidates should carry the original as well as photocopy of the ID proof, issued by the Government of India. The specific documents required will be mentioned in the exam instructions and OJEE admit card.

Q:   When will Special OJEE application forms be released?

The 2nd/Special OJEE application form will be released on June 13, 2025, and will be available till June 28, 2025. Candidates will be able to apply online for the Special OJEE exam 2025. Like the OJEE application form, the Special OJEE application form is also released online on the official website of Odisha JEE. There is no provision of offline registration for Special OJEE. The application forms are often available after the results for the OJEE exam are announced. 

Q:   What should I do if there is an error on my OJEE admit card?
A: 
Candidates must carefully check the OJEE admit card before downloading it. If they find an error in the OJEE admit card, candidates must immediately report the same to the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Cell. Candidates must know that OJEE admit card is an important document which is to be carried to the OJEE exam centre. They must carry a coloured print out to the exam centre along with a recent passport size photograph affixed to with and other documents too.
Q:   Will the OJEE admit card include allotted test centre details?

Yes, the OJEE admit card will mention all the details of the exam centre which has been allotted. Candidates must note that they will not be allowed to change the exam centre. They must reach the OJEE exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts to complete the frisking formalities.
