NEET MDS Exam Date 2026 (OUT): The NEET MDS result 2026 will be released by June 2, 2026. The NBEMS NEET MDS 2026 cutoff will be released along with the result PDF. The MCC will conduct the NEET MDS counselling after the declaration of exam results.

  • NEET MDS Exam Date 2026: NBEMS has announced the exam date. The exam is scheduled on May 2, 2026.

NEET MDS Counselling 2026 Dates

The NEET MDS Counselling 2026 will be conducted by the MCC. The counselling will be held for 50 per cent of All India Quota (AIQ) seats, deemed/ central university seats, ESIC and AFMC seats. Candidates who qualify the NEET MDS 2026 exam will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. The qualification status will be known through the NEET MDS result and cutoff marks.  The MCC NEET MDS counselling dates 2026 will be announced after the exam results.

Q:   Who conducts the NEET MDS Counselling?

The NEET MDS counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling process is taken over by the MCC after the exam results. The NBE role ends with the release of NEET MDS result and cutoff. The MCC conducts MDS counselling for 50 per cent All India Quota seats and the rest 50 per cent seats quota is filled by the respective state authorities.

 

Q:   How many rounds of NEET MDS counselling will be held for seat allotment?
A: 

A total of five rounds of NEET MDS counselling are conducted for seat allotment. Originally four rounds are conducted by MCC, after which an additional round is announced based on the seat vacancies. It must be noted that whole process of counselling is held online. Eligible candidates will have to register online to participate in the seat allotment process. Registration can be done in every round. Apart from registration, NEET MDS counselling comprises steps such as choice declaration, seat processing, allotment result and document verification.

Q:   Who conducts the counselling for NEET MDS?
A: 

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is the conducting body for the NEET MDS counselling. It must be noted, NBE only conducts the exam and declares the result of NEET MDS. MCC conducts counselling for allotment of 50 per cent All India Quota seats. For rest 50 per cent seats, respective state authorities conduct the counselling. Candidates have to register on the official website of MCC and declare choice for college and course for NEET MDS counselling. Only NEET MDS qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling for seat allotment.

Q:   Which institutes do not accept NEET MDS scores?
A: 

While all dental colleges across India accept NEET MDS scores, AIIMS Delhi, or other AIIMS campuses offering MDS course do not accept NEET MDS scores. Hence, MDS aspirants planning to take admission to AIIMS colleges have to appear for INI CET (MDS) exam. On the other hand, candidates are advised to prepare and appear for NEET MDS entrance exam to amplify their chances of admission. 

Q:   Will NBE extended NEET MDS 2026 registration deadline?
A: 

In general, NBEMS does not extend the NEET MDS registration last date. However, in case the internship deadline is extended, then the NEET MDS registration and application window may be reopened. The NEET MDS 2026 application process is expected to be conducted from the second to fourth week of February 2026. The actual dates will be announced along with the information bulletin.

Q:   What are the different stages of NEET MDS counselling?
A: 

The NEET MDS counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee for All India Quota seats. The counselling process is completely online, except for the final stage, which is the institute reporting process, which requires physical verification. The different stages of NEET MDS counselling are given below:

  • Registration: To participate in the NEET MDS counselling, eligible candidates need to first register for the counselling on the MCC website.
  • Choice filling and locking: Based on the seat matrix, candidates have to fill and lock choices in preferential order.
  • Declaration of seat allotment result: Based on the choices entered and the ranks of candidates, the seat allotment list is prepared
  • Institute reporting: Candidates have to visit the allotted institute with the requisite documents to accept the admission offer.

The individual scorecards was released on May 23, 2025. Only those candidates, whose names will be there on the merit list are considered to be eligible for the NEET MDS 2025 counselling process. The result has been uploaded on the official website in a PDF format. Candidates can download the scorecard from the official website with application ID and password. NEET MDS result PDF comprises details such as roll number, application ID, marks scored, percentile and rank. Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. Those who qualified the exam will be participating in the online counselling for seat allotment.
