Here's Why the KEAM 2025 Rank List Is Delayed: Final Decision on New Engineering Rank Formula Today

The real reason behind the delay in the KEAM 2025 rank list is suggested changes to the calculation of rank. The changes will be reviewed and a final decision is expected today. Know all details below.
The wait for students waiting for the KEAM 2025 rank list has been long, as the announcement of the engineering and other course ranks is currently delayed. This delay is due to a review by a group of experts who are suggesting changes to how the KEAM rank calculations are done.
Reason for KEAM 2025 Rank List Delay
Today, a special cabinet meeting is scheduled to discuss these recommendations. Right now, the ranks are determined by combining students' scores from their plus two examinations and their KEAM exam results, giving equal weight to both. However, there have been complaints that this method is unfair to students from the Kerala board, as it appears they are scoring 15 to 20 points lower than those from the CBSE board.
Because of these concerns, the expert committee looked into the situation, which is why the KEAM 2025 rank list has not been released yet. The state education department plans to change the way scores are calculated after hearing the complaints. In March, the expert committee proposed five changes to improve the system.
Students are understandably anxious, especially since the KEAM results still haven't been announced three weeks after the NEET results were released. They are worried about what this means for their future studies. In the meantime, students who took the KEAM 2025 exam have until noon on July 3 to log into their profiles on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, to make any necessary corrections to their applications.
