KEAM Marks V/S Ranks 2025: Candidates can check here what their expected KEAM 2025 ranks can be based on their KEAM 2025 marks. CEE will release the KEAM percentile scores after normalisation, as the exam is held over multiple shifts and days in CBT mode. Candidates must note that KEAM 2025 ranks will be allotted based on an equal weightage of 50:50 given to the score obtained in the KEAM 2025 Entrance Examination and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardisation procedure. Therefore, candidates have to keep in mind that KEAM ranks cannot be based on just the entrance exam scores. We have given below a rough estimate of KEAM ranks based on the past few years' data. Check for an idea and do not consider this as a final prediction.

KEAM 2025 Normalisation Process
KEAM 2025 Engineering and Pharmacy Entrance Examinations 2025 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode; hence it is required to conduct the examinations on multiple days. Each session will have a separate set of questions. To ensure that candidates are neither benefitted nor disadvantaged due to the examinations in multiple sessions, the Normalisation procedure is adopted. The total score of the Entrance Examination out of 600 is normalised. The procedure for Normalization has been approved by the Normalization Committee constituted vide G.O.(Rt)No.235/2025/H.Edn. dated.16.02.2025. The Index Mark after normalisation will be 300.
KEAM 2025 Normalisation procedure based on Percentile Interpolated Average Method:
Let there be K sessions, and let Ni be the number of students appearing in the ith session
Step 1: Convert the raw marks of students to percentile scores for each session separately.
Let Xij denote the raw mark of the jth candidate in the ith session,
i = 1,2,.....,K; j = 1, 2, .....Ni. Then the percentile score of the jth candidate in the ith session is calculated using the formula:
The percentile scores will be calculated up to 8 decimal places.
Step 2: Compute the interpolated scores for other sessions
Step 3: Compute the normalised marks for each student
KEAM 2025 Standardisation for Calculation of BTech Ranks
The formula for standardisation has been approved by the Expert Committee constituted vide G.O.(Rt)No.1758/2011/H.Edn. dated.03.11.2011: The marks secured by a student in the qualifying examination from any Board will be standardised with respect to the statistical parameters such as Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation. Tie Breaking for KEAM 2025 Rank List
If there are ties in KEAM 2025 rank list, the tie shall be resolved as per the rules mentioned below:
Engineering: In the case of a tie in the total index marks computed after integrating the total normalised score of the entrance examination with the total standardised score for the preparation of the engineering rank, then
- Candidates with a higher pre-normalised score in Mathematics in KEAM will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie still exists, the candidate with a higher pre-normalised score in Physics of the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If there is still a tie, a candidate with higher standardised marks in Mathematics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with higher standardised marks in Physics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with a higher number of responses in Mathematics will be considered.
- If the tie persists candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
- If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older candidate will be placed higher in the ranking.
- In case the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.
BPharm: In the case of a tie in the total normalised marks computed for the preparation of the BPharm rank list, then
- The candidate with the higher pre-normalised score in Chemistry in the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- The tie is still not resolved; the higher pre-normalised score in Physics in the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Chemistry in the KEAM Entrance Examination will be considered.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
- If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older candidate will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.
