KEAM Marks vs Ranks 2026: Candidates can check here what their expected KEAM 2026 ranks can be based on their KEAM 2026 marks. CEE releases the KEAM percentile scores after normalisation, as the exam is held over multiple shifts and days in CBT mode. Candidates must note that KEAM 2026 ranks will be allotted based on an equal weightage of 50:50 given to the score obtained in the KEAM 2026 Entrance Examination and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardisation procedure. Therefore, candidates have to keep in mind that KEAM ranks cannot be based on just the entrance exam scores. We have given below a rough estimate of KEAM ranks based on the past few years' data. Check for an idea and do not consider this as a final prediction.

KEAM 2026 Normalisation Process

KEAM 2026 Engineering and Pharmacy Entrance Examinations 2026 were conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode; hence, it is required to conduct the examinations on multiple days. Each session will have a separate set of questions. To ensure that candidates are neither benefited nor disadvantaged due to the examinations in multiple sessions, the Normalisation procedure is adopted for KEAM 2026 result preparation. The total score of the Entrance Examination out of 600 is normalised. The procedure for Normalisation has been approved by the Normalisation Committee constituted vide G.O.(Rt)No.235/2026/H.Edn. dated.16.02.2026. The Index Mark after normalisation will be 300.

KEAM 2026 Normalisation procedure based on Percentile Interpolated Average Method:

Let there be K sessions, and let Ni be the number of students appearing in the ith session

Step 1: Convert the raw marks of students to percentile scores for each session separately.

Let Xij denote the raw mark of the jth candidate in the ith session,

i = 1,2,.....,K; j = 1, 2, .....Ni. Then the percentile score of the jth candidate in the ith session is calculated using the formula:

The percentile scores will be calculated up to 8 decimal places.

Step 2: Compute the interpolated scores for other sessions

Step 3: Compute the normalised marks for each student

KEAM 2026 Standardisation for Calculation of BTech Ranks

The formula for standardisation has been approved by the Expert Committee constituted vide G.O.(Rt)No.1758/2011/H.Edn. dated.03.11.2011: The marks secured by a student in the qualifying examination from any Board will be standardised with respect to the statistical parameters such as Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation. Subject to be considered for KEAM 2026 Engineering Ranking

The subjects of the qualifying examination considered for the computation of marks for ranking shall be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The marks of the concerned subject out of hundred or an equivalent mark out of hundred, as given in the final year mark list of the Qualifying Examination of any plus two streams, shall be considered.

In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.

KEAM 2026 cutoff marks: Qualifying Marks

To be able to appear in the KEAM rank list for admission, candidates must get the following minimum marks in the KEAM exam:

Course

Qualifying Marks

Engineering

  • To qualify in the Engineering Entrance Examination and thereby become eligible to figure in the Engineering rank list, a candidate must secure a minimum normalised score of 10 in the Engineering Entrance Examination. The candidates who do not secure the minimum stipulated score will not find a place in the rank list.
  • Exemption: For SC/ST candidates, there is no requirement for a minimum score in the Engineering Entrance Examination. However, the candidates who fail to answer at least one question will be disqualified.

Pharmacy

  • To qualify in the Entrance Examination and thereby become eligible to figure in the rank list for admission to the BPharm course, a candidate has to secure a minimum normalized score of 10 out of the index of 300. The candidates who do not secure the minimum stipulated score will not find a place in the rank list.
  • Exemption: For SC/ST candidates, there is no requirement for the minimum score for ranking for the BPharm course. However, the candidates who fail to answer at least one question in the Physics & Chemistry sections of the Engineering Entrance Examination will be disqualified.

How is the KEAM 2026 Result Prepared?

KEAM 2026 result is compiled in 2 ways:

  1. KEAM 2026 scorecard: The scorecard is made available under the respective logins of the candidates on the official website. In the scorecard, candidates can check their marks in the KEAM 2026 exam. The marks are given subject-wise and in total.
  2. KEAM 2026 rank list: The KEAM rank list is prepared based on the marks of the qualifying exam and KEAM 2026 marks. The weightage of the qualifying exam marks and KEAM marks varies for rank lists PDF for Engineering, Architecture, BPharm, MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS/Agriculture/Forestry/ Veterinary /Co-operation & Banking/ Climate Change & Environmental Science/ B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU)/ Fisheries and BAMS.

Tie Breaking for KEAM 2026 Rank List

If there are ties in KEAM 2026 rank list, the tie shall be resolved as per the rules mentioned below:

Engineering: In the case of a tie in the total index marks computed after integrating the total normalised score of the entrance examination with the total standardised score for the preparation of the engineering rank, then

  • Candidates with a higher pre-normalised score in Mathematics in KEAM will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie still exists, the candidate with a higher pre-normalised score in Physics of the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • If there is still a tie, a candidate with higher standardised marks in Mathematics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie persists, the candidate with higher standardised marks in Physics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with a higher number of responses in Mathematics will be considered.
  • If the tie persists candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
  • If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older candidate will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • In case the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.

BPharm:  In the case of a tie in the total normalised marks computed for the preparation of the BPharm rank list, then

  • The candidate with the higher pre-normalised score in Chemistry in the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • The tie is still not resolved; the higher pre-normalised score in Physics in the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Chemistry in the KEAM Entrance Examination will be considered.
  • If the tie persists, the candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
  • If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older candidate will be placed higher in the ranking.
  • If the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.

Yes, you can get admission to Bedekar College with 66 percentile.

You can get a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 because a 66 percentile is higher than the minimum general cutoff range of 40 to 79.

Yes, in some cases. Many private engineering and arts colleges in Kerala also accept direct admission based on Class 12 marks under management quota. However, top government colleges and NITs strictly need KEAM or JEE scores, so check each college's own admission rule.
