To reshape global research, education, and technological innovation, the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) have entered into a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic partnership leverages the distinctive strengths of both institutions to propel innovation, foster a globally oriented advanced startup ecosystem, and deliver world-class academic and training programs focused on enhancing employability, entrepreneurship, and research.

Unified Vision For Future Education and Research

The MoU signifies a strategic alliance between CERT and IIT Madras, both esteemed for their pioneering research and academic excellence. This collaboration will establish a dynamic platform to expand educational opportunities and drive meaningful advancements in global research partnerships. The partnership between CERT and IIT Madras represents a unified vision for the future of education and research with IITM Global tasked to carry out the deliverables outlined in this partnership.

This collaboration leverages the combined expertise, resources, and global networks of both institutions, paving the way for transformative advancements that will benefit both parties and the broader academic and research communities worldwide. It also aims to develop joint academic programs, such as dual degree programs and accredited training courses, integrating them with the latest industry trends to maximize students' benefits.

The MoU also highlights collaboration in intellectual property and technology transfer, aiming to facilitate technology licensing agreements, support the commercialization of jointly developed innovations, and establish advanced research and innovation centres. It seeks to propel scientific progress by launching joint research projects, securing international funding, and fostering collaboration in publishing high-impact research papers. Additionally, the partnership explores the formation of research consortiums in areas of mutual interest.
