Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is also known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). It is a public university & founded in 2000. The university is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. AKTU has 800 affiliated colleges & institutes. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow offers various UG, PG, & PhD courses . - AKTU was established on 26 July 2000 as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) through the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
- To ensure proper management & administrative ease, the university was divided into Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU) & Mahamaya Technical University (MTU), from 1 May 2010.
- In 2013, as the new government came into power, UPTU University, Lucknow was merged as a single university combining the two on 5 January 2013.

To be eligible for this Stipend, only one condition is there. He or she must have qualified for the GATE entrance exam. Candidates enrolled in the Ph.D. programme at AKTU on a regular basis are eligible for a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 from MHRD for the first two years of the programme and a monthly stipend of INR 35,000 for the next three years of the course of study; after completing five years, if students are still working on their Doctoral degree, then they are provided monthly financial assistance of INR 12,000 for only one year. Ph.D. scholars are eligible for Stipend only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship.

After the JEE Main session 2 result announced, candidates need to first head on to official JEE Main website to know the performance in terms of rank and marks on the portal. DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University is expected to conduct a total of six rounds for CUET-UG-qualified candidates. However, the cutoff rounds are conducted as per seat availability.
